Christmas Card Club Challenge 25: Silver Bells

Hello Everyone,  hope you are not getting stressed too much over Christmas cards,  Shopping and Cleaning.  I certainly was not out and about on Black Friday.   Definitely not my thing at all.
Anyway, on to more important matters. Now we are at Challenge 25 over at the CCC where the lovely Asha has chosen the theme of Silver Bells.
  I have used a beautiful Pyrimage print from Craftsuprint,  and I could just imagine the Church bells ringing out for Christmas worship.   I added pearl glue around the border  Added my silver bells and a lurex silver ribbon bow to finish it off.
  Just one more challenge to go and then we are having a break till January.   Thank-You ladies for all the great themes and now my cards are just about finished, thanks to you.   Most of my shopping done, just a few extras still to buy and a few projects to finish off.      Hugs Rita xxxxx

Birthday Card

Hello Folks.  My goodness where has the year gone,  even the days seem to be flying in.   Its a lot colder today as well,  although it was a lovely day.   Today's card is the one I made for my daughter-in law Anne for her 50th Birthday.  They are now in New York and really enjoying it too, no Snow either, so that was a bonus.  the week has gone by so quickly and they will be home on Saturday,  and their younger daughter Louise and David her boyfriend are off to Australia on Monday for 3 weeks and return home on Christmas Day. 
I need to make my card for the CCC on Sunday,  so that will take me most of tomorrow as I am only able to craft in the afternoon.   Until then Take Care of yourselves and Enjoy your crafting.    Hugs Rita xxxxx

Noel Card

Birthday Card

Hello my lovely Friends and Fellow Bloggers.    What a week,  I am so glad it's the weekend.   last Monday was my only sons birthday and I really have run out of ideas.   But after a lot of humming and hawing  I used one of my favourite LOTV art pads,  and he loved it.   It is my daughter-in-laws birthday next Tuesday, so they are off to New York tomorrow for a week as it is her 50th Birthday.   Hope they don't get the snow when they arrive.   They came to visit today and were so excited.   I'll show you Annes card over the weekend.    No word yet for Andrews operation and it really is getting him down now.   Take Care and I'll be back soon.   Hugs Rita xxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 24: Origami/ TeaBag folding

Good Morning Bloggers,  and anyone else who cares to visit my blog.   It is lovely to see you visit me .
Our challenge this  fortnight is Origami or Teabag folding.  The lovely Karen has chosen this one and I have decided to go with the Teabag theme.   My base card is 8 X 8 and I have matted it with a music sheet that I distressed to suit my card.   I have cut a frame with 2 shades of Kraft card,  and then my folded Christmas tree that I really enjoyed making.   I really was out of my comfort zone with this one,  but Hey Ho, thanks to You Tube I quickly learned how to do the folds.   The gorgeous gold poinsettia is from the Ribbon Girl who have the most beautiful embellishments and ribbons to add to our cards,  I added a bit of mistletoe greenery to highlight it.   The sentiment was from a set of Desire Stamps. . I have put a little tutorial below this post on how to use the tumble drier sheet. x

Thank you All for the lovely comments on my last card.   This is how I did glitter with a used tumble drier sheet.
Firstly stamp your scene or topper and lay out your drier sheet flat and cut to the size of your topper.  Them ,on to your craft sheet you spray it with Spray mount and stick it on to your topper making sure it does not wrinkle.  Have you glitter beside you ( I used a white sparkly glitter ), give it another spray and add your glitter, tap gently to remove any surplus and when it is dry , I gave mine a final spray of cheap hair spray to stop any glitter falling off. I needed to trim my slightly at one of the edges where there was a slight overlap.  Them you can attach it to your card.  Wish I was there to  show you .   Sorry, I'm not very good at writing tutorials.     You'll be surprised how beautiful and frosty it looks.     Have a lovely week.      Hugs Rita xxx

Glitterazzi Scene Christmas Card

Hello My Fellow Bloggers and Friends.   Well, this has certainly been a quick week,  certainly not nice weather wise as its been dark and dreary most of the time.  Lights and Heating on now too.   I know a lot of people have been suffering the effects of colds and other health problems,  so I hope you all feel better soon.
Today, my card is a bit different,  even though it's a winter scene ,  the glittered topping was created with a used tumble drier sheet.   I saw it on FB and of course I had to give it a go,  wish I could remember the name of the person that showed it,  as I always like to give them the credit.    The Poinsettias I made from strong vellum and sprayed with an irredescent spray.   The beautiful silver ribbon was from Ribbon Girl last year,  and it ties so nicely.    This card really has a beautiful finish and was so simple to do.   I am not very good at tutorials,  but if you need some help, feel free to email me.   Enjoy your weekend Everyone.     Hugs Rita xxx

8oth Birthday card

Hello Everyone.   Here I am with another 8oth Birthday card in Purple and Lavender again.   However,  I love the colours and I know this card was loved too.   It was an 8 X 8  I added a background that I embossed with distress ink and again I have used this before,  it looks a little blue in the picture,  but it was a lilac that matched very well with the corners.   The centre piece was made with Tonic Bows die finished of with roses in purple,  lavender and white.   I also made a bag to match and the beautiful ribbon was a gift from my good friend Patricia of Summerhouse crafts.  Have a few birthdays this month so I really have to get a move on as I still have a few Christmas cards to make as well.

Christmas Boxes.

Hello Folks.   Sorry to have been a bit off colour this week and not really felt like doing anything at all.  it is so unlike me as most of you know I just cant sit still.   I am trying hard to get back to normality, whatever that is.
 My dear daughter Annie filled in for us at both funerals as one was on Thursday and the other on Friday.  Both brothers-in-laws stayed at the Lake District to which we have visited many times over the years, and we were both glad about that.   Then on Friday afternoon we had a phone call from the hospital to say that once again Andrews knee operation was being cancelled as the theatres were being closed on Wednesday,  and now we are awaiting another date..   Nothing we can do I'm afraid as it was a management decision as another hospital has closed it theatres and are going to use the one nearer to us for emergencies.     Third time lucky, says she hopefully.
Anyway, I made these few boxes to hold Christmas gifts 2 weeks ago when I bought a PDF file from Call Me Crafty.   Linda is an amazing crafter, and her boxes are stunning along with her cards.   I became friends with Linda on FB a few months ago and she is such a lovely person.   She also has some you can make on You Tube too.   Hope you like them.   Hugs Rita xxxxx

Golden Wedding card

Hello my dear friends and followers.   I was asked to make a card for a Golden Wedding recently,  and now I can show you my finished card.   Isn't it funny how you notice things after the card has gone.  My right hand corner is a tad skee wiff and yet I never noticed it.   However, it was loved .   The die was one of Sue Wilsons and I just adore it.  
I have been making some stocking fillers and small gifts for Christmas and I will post as soon as I take some pictures.
We are having a very mixed weather day as the sun has been shining then some cloud and finally some very heavy showers.   On a sadder note we have had three family deaths in the last 2 weeks , so everyone has been a bit down to say the least.   Sending Love & Hugs to All of you and I treasure your friendship too.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 23 : Snowmen

Hello Folks.   How are we all,  probably tired of making Christmas cards. 
However,  today is Challenge 23 at the CCC where Lorraine chose Snowmen for this one.   If the weather forecasts are right we will all be building snowmen very soon.    The image I used for my card today was from Joanna Sheen CD called Christmas Creations by Giordano.   I love the image and chose to make a frame and embossed it through the A4 swiss dots folder.   I used Iced Snow and Diamond Sprinkles to create the snow, but sadly it is not showing very well.  I also put it on the winter arrangement and in reality it looks so lovely and twinkly.    
Not many more challenges to go now and that is scary.   I am actually half way through my Christmas shopping and not really got much more to buy.   Grandchildren get cash now as they all want to choose their own styles etc. Andrew has a new date for his op on the 12th November, so hopefully it goes ahead this time.    Love & Hugs Rita xxxx
