Birthday Card

Hello Folks.   After a beautiful morning it looks like it could rain now,  hopefully I'll manage to get the washing dried first.    Autumn is  approaching very fast this year as lots of trees around us are shedding their leaves.
Today's card is one that I made for my Grandson's Fiance, for her birthday earlier this month.    She simple adores shoes,  so I made her this card and she loved it too.   Another Craftsuprint card that I think would be ideal for any young woman who loves shoes.    It's decoupaged and I glittered all the shoes, but as usual it's hard to detect.
 Hoping to do something different this afternoon,  so watch this space.

Little Boxes

Hello Again Folks.   Well,  I think I have got part of my mojo back.   Maybe the fact that the sun has been shining since last week,  it feels quite fresh in the mornings though, and I'll not be complaining at that.    Last Sunday Annie took me through to Haddington along with two friends and we enjoyed a great day out.
These are my latest creations, a few little boxes in preparation for Christmas.    The two boxes were made from my WRMK envelope board and the bag was made with WRMK Gift bag board.   They certainly take away all the measuring etc,  and are so quick to make.   
I just have a few beads and bits to add to the Fabric/Lace book and I will hopefully have it completed in the next few days.  Everything has been stitched and although it has taken me a while  ( I was doing other things as well )  I really enjoyed the challenge.   Thank-you so much for all the lovely comments left on my blog and it certainly spurred me on get creative again.   Take Care everyone.  I'll be back soon.    Hugs Rita xxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 18 is a Cardinal or some other Bird

Hello my Dear Friends and Fellow Bloggers.     Sorry that I have not been on for over a week.    Family  all went home last weekend,  and I had such a lot of catching up to do and tasks that need to be finished.  Card orders etc and knitting orders,  plus I wanted to get on with Annies  Lace and Fabric book.   So I hope I'm forgiven as I was still crafting.  xxx 
Another fortnight has passed and time for another Challenge over at the CCC.    This time it was Mary's turn to  choose and she opted for a Cardinal or any other bird.   My card for this one is from Craftsuprint and it is decoupaged.  Because I have matted and layered it on Silver mirri card,  you can see me taking the shot with my camera.    I only have one Cardinal stamp and I used it a few weeks ago for a different challenge.  
Hope you are still enjoy your craft time and looking after yourselves as well.   Things are looking a bit brighter and I want to do so many things,  so hopefully I'll be back to normal  ( whatever that is ???)  this incoming week.

Grace from Nellie Snellen.

Good Morning folks.   Today's card is one I did whilst on holiday,  really I was just having a practice session with my Promarkers.   The digi stamp was one I got last year called Grace,  and I only used it a few times,  but was never happy with the outcome.    However, this time I was quite pleased with how she turned out.    I used the SB Enchanted labels 28 for the background and the SB Gold labels 4 for the image and the backing.   Off to get ready for my family arriving so I may not manage back on this week.  .  .   Hugs Rita. xxxxx

Christmas Card Club Challenge 17: Anything but a Card

Good Morning my Friends and Fellow Crafters.    I thought I was so smart and had done my card in advance for what I thought was this fortnights challenge , only to find it was the wrong one.     Challenge 17 was chosen by Lizzie who asked for 'Anything but a Card'     Need to pay more attention to things.    However,  today I manage to make a ATB and matted it with the Craftwork Cards Magic of Christmas paper pad,   I love the papers so much,  so you will be seeing more of it as the weeks go on.   I also lined the inside with same papers before adding a bit of embellishment on the top.  I started off with a burlap bow and added some  pinecones  and leaves  using the TH sizzix dies.   I also put some little glass beads scattered around and  thought it would be a good idea to add some Fran-tage Shaved Ice over the lot, not a good idea.   It looks lovely in the natural light ,but not to photograph.   No time to alter it again.   I shall add some Yankee Candles at a later date. 

I promised in my last post to let you see the fabulous gift and card my dear friend Jenny ( Buttons ) sent to Andrew and I earlier this week.   A year ago this month, since lots of us TH fans met up in Coventry for 3 days of fun, then on the day of Lord Tim's workshop Andrew fell downstairs and you all know the story.   However, he said to do the course as Carolyn and Alisdair came to look after him.   However, here is Jenny's gifts.  She has since told me the Luminary got an Honourable Mention in Linda Ledbetter's Challenge CC3, so big congratulations Jenny for doing so well in that.  I'll always treasure it and the fact that I have so many good friends met through blogging. 
This beautiful luminary  is so charming and you can see the bell in the inside.  The flowers and leaves are just gorgeous  and I really can't take my eyes of it at all.   Beautiful card to accompany it too.   Aren't I the lucky one.    Enjoy the rest of the Week-end.       Hugs Rita xxxxxxx

 

Another Wedding Card with bag

Hi again folks,  not been a great day weatherwise ,  but hey ho we just have to get on with it.    All the washing and ironing up to date,  and beds made up ready for Carolyn, Hamish & Molly coming on Monday.   I need to do fill the tins up as they all love home baking, so my weekend will be cooking and baking. 
My card to-day was one I made on Monday for one of Jans bowling friends.   White on White again,  as this has been the choice for lots of wedding cards recently.   I made a matching bag to complete the combo.  
CCC that is due on Sunday,  I misread the theme and did the wrong one,  so now I will have to rethink and quickly make Anything but a Card.    I got the biggest surprise yesterday when a parcel arrived from my dear friend Jenny ( Buttons ) ,  so I will show it in another post once I clear it with Jenny.    Take care and Look After each other.    Hugs Rita xxxx

Marilyn Monroe birthday card

Hello again folks.    My card today was one that I was asked to make for a 21st Birthday recently.   The young lady in question is an avid Marilyn Monroe fan and even has her bedroom done in the same style.   She certainly was a lovable actress of years gone by and another generation has found her and the fabulous films she made.   The card was 8 x 8 and I really enjoyed looking for images etc to fit the request.   The theme was pink and black with some animal paper added.  I also added lots of Black and Diamond gems to bling it up.   A huge pink satin bow gave it the look that I wanted.      I know it was very much loved by the recipient and so I was happy too. 

Andrew had his hand op done yesterday,  so hopefully things will get better now before he has his knee surgery later on in the year.  Beautiful sunshine this afternoon,  although we had a few downpours this morning.  Strange how quickly the weather changes.   I hope you have all had a good day and having fun crafting.   Hugs Rita xxxx
