Christmas Card Challenge Mixed Media & Trees

Hello Everyone.  Firstly can I apologise to to Mary for being a wee bitty late with today's challenge.  Best laid plans of mice and Men.... My hands have been giving me gip in this cold weather, although today its sunshine all the way.
The very artistic Mary wanted to see Mixed Media and Trees,  so I have certainly managed that. The stencil I used is from Imagination and was a lovely gift from my dear friend Kate.  I used structure paste on the stencil first and of course I had to wait till it dried before I could paint it, the gold stars were using the Starlight paints again from Imagination and they are so fantastic to work with too.  I added a few bits of Iced Snow around just to complete the Christmas card.   Furiously trying to knit to get my orders done as I am so far behind this year compared to last year. Paloma the Beautiful Dove of Peace visits Scotland

Christmas Card Club Challenge 23 : Reindeer

Hello Everyone.  Sorry I'm a wee bit late with my card today. This fortnight its Challenge 23 and it was chosen by the taleted Lorraine and she asked for Reindeer.  Tried to get a decent picture yesterday, but because I used bent a piece of acetate on my card it kept catching the sunlight.   So I had to wait till this morning and it's pretty miserable so its not that much better.  Anyway, I decided to put it on anyway as I hate not doing my card.
 Using a 6 x 6 card I used a favourite image of reindeer to make my backing and added to pieces of glitter card with 3mm foam strips down each side, I then cut my acetate and adhere it to one of the strips and stuck it down on to the card, leaving the other piece open so it would lie flat for posting.  If you put it behind  the other strip it will bevel nicely making your card stand out.  Leave your acetate a bit longer in width to give you a nice bevel.  Add the sentiment and the embellishment whilst the card is flat. Such a pity it really doesn't show up in the pictures.  Been nursing a really sore hip for over a week now, but I guess a visit to the doctors is now required.  Hope all is well with you as there are so many viruses going around at the moment.  Take Care and Sending Hugs  Rita xxxxx
