Christmas Card Club Challenge 22 : Aything Goes

Hello Again to Everyone. The weeks are passing quickly now and I'm now where near ready, usually by this time of year and I am nearly finished.  Ho Hum I'll get there anyway, lots to finish before then.  So glad I joined the CCC all these years ago and it really is a blessing when it comes to this time of year. Anyone interested in joining us can get in touch and we'll get you started for next year.

So here is my card that I made for this challenge that was chosen by the lovely Sylvie and she let us choose with "Anything Goes".  I love all the Christmas songs and one of the first ones I sang was The Holly and the Ivy as child at Sunday School, to this day I still love it and always will.
  The Stamps and Dies are from this years selection from Sheena Douglas, whom I have followed from I started crafting all those years ago.  Fabulous quality stamps and the cutting dies are brilliant, saves so much time fussy cutting etc.  I used TH Distress inks to colour my borders and matted it on to gold card that I bought on Friday at  Hobbycrafts show in the SECC.
 I met up with Kate before it started and we stayed together till well into the afternoon. We had great fun and watched numerous demonstrations and spent too much money. Kate does some wonderful cards and is a great knitter like myself.   Crafty friendship is a great bonus having people who enjoy the same or similar hobbies to myself.  See you all soon.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Birthday Card

Hell again. This time its a Birthday Card I was asked to do, and its a long time since I have done any decoupage.  Sadly your work never shows up very well in a picture, but it was loved.  Starting to get a wee bitty excited now as the Glasgow Hobbycrafts show starts this week and I,m meeting Kate on Friday, I know we are both going to check out Imagination Crafts and of course we will see some demonstrations too.  This will be my first show without my friend Jan to accompany me , but I'm sure she will be with me in spirit. Been doing some Christmas gifts and its helping me get back into crafting again.  Another sunny and warm day for October too, washing all out and nearly dry.  Maybe I'll iron or Maybe not.   Hugs to you All.  Rita xxxx

Wedding Card

Hello Everyone.  I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather of recent weeks. The only drawback is the leaves are falling quicker than I can lift them, love the colours, after all it is October.
Today's card is for a wedding in USA but the bride has Scottish roots and so that is why you see a bit of tartan on the card. the dies are Sue Wilson and the organza roses are from The Ribbon Girl. I'm pretty sure it will be loved too.  So much to do and so many projects to finish before Christmas.  But I guess us crafters are all alike at this time of year.  Looking forward to meeting up with some crafty friends next Friday at the SECC in Glasgow, among them my dear friend Kate is coming down so looking forward to that.  Thank You All so much for sticking with me over the summer months and for the lovely comments you always leave.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Christmas Club Challenge 21. Sentiment focus.

Hello Everyone.
Here we are again and 2 weeks have passed since our last Christmas Card Club.Challenge. This time around it was the lovely Carol who chose the theme of Sentiment.  My card has made with the sentiment in mind and this was one of Cloe's new stamps that I love.  I used a background of Tartan paper and a layer of deep red card before using a Sue Wilson die and added the stamped piece to the centre of my card. A few red pearls to adorn it and I finished it off with some hand dyed seam binding. Was really pleased with this one. 
I have had a busy week making cards for orders and took a day off on Wednesday to spend time with my two lovely daughters.We went to see the film Bridget Jones's Baby. We laughed so much till the tears were flowing. I am doggie sitting Carolyn's miniature Schnauzer " Buachaille"  till next Thursday while they have a much needed holiday.  Hope you you will visit the other members whose blogs are on my side panel as there are some fabulous crafters among us too.   Take Care and Ill be back soon.  Hugs Rita xxx

Christmas Tag

Hello Everyone. Well,  After a busy week-end I did find enough time to do a tag for Annie.  Start from the beginning, a week ago Annie, Astrid and I had a Great Craft Day at Annies.  Amid lots of Laughter, Fun and Food we all enjoyed another day together.   And just before we finished up Annie asked us to do a challenge and make a tag or card using the dies we cut that day.  Thank-You Annie for your hospitality and here is my Tag using my dies from last week.   Hugs Mum xxxx

Christmas Card Club. Festive Birds

Hello Evertone, Here I am again running late with my card for the Christmas Card Club Challenge that our dear member Valery chose for this fortnights challenge This is a group of card makers who Join together every 2 weeks to share a Christmas card, with a challenge theme selected by one of our members. 
This time round I have been so busy with end of summer visitors, I am a bit late with everything.  Even today I have family up from the lakes, so have excused myself so as to get my card on today.  Been a very quick card and not my usual, sorry Valery, but I did my best.  Hugs Rita xxx
