Tag for Life

Now here I am again, completely out of my comfort zone with this. But I have to say it was great fun to do, even if its not perfect. I used Grungeboard to start off and crackled it using acrylic paint and pva glue. I used a Krylon pen to edge it and then added some distress inks to add a little more colour. The fun part was adding embellishments and as most of you know its usually bows and flowers for me. However, after looking through my bits and bobs I finally found some findings to add to my tag.  This is for Hels Sheridan's Sunday Challenge.  Hope you enjoy looking at what I've done.  Take Care Rita xxxx

Hi again, My card to-day started out as a piece of white gloss card and I had a play with Alcohol inks, Gold Mixative and Blending solution and made a background.  I used a Sarah Kay stamp and coloured in the image using pencils and stubs. A Stitch in Time

Hi again. Firstly I want to say a big Thank-You to all of you for the kind wishes left on my blog. My Wrist/Hand is improving but I still have a good bit to go yet. Anyway, after looking at Hels Sheridan's blog and loving what I saw there I thought I'd give her Sunday challenge a bash. Its the first time I have done anything like it as it was on a canvas ( my choice ), but it was good fun and really messy. The project could be called My Life as I qualified as tailoress/designer way back in 1957 so most of my canvas is what I loved for years until I found card-making. I've used lots of elements that I never considered before. The stamps are from Creative Expressions ( Vintage Sewing ) by Sam Poole and I hope you like my finished canvas. Vintage Look Card

Still putting in an effort every day, but finding it slow going. I really enjoyed doing this card as I tried some different things and crackled the board at the bottom of the card. First Card of 2012

Well, I finally made a card, just into my second week of physio, but I felt I could try my hand at making a card. Its an 8x8 and the dies had been cut previous to my accident, so I stamped and distressed  the card using Inkylicious Stamps " Spring Awakening and Summer Morn that I recently purchased. added the dies and a few flowers and  this is my finished creation. I feel so happy just to be able to do something at last.
