A little Gift Bag

Hello my Friends and Fellow Bloggers.   Hope you are all staying safe and keeping warm in this terrible weather.  Saying that, I have been having a play in my craft room today after buying a template from Linda Parker of Call me Crafty .   You can reach Linda through her Facebook Page.   Linda's designs are so easy to put together and put your own mark on them too.    I chose to make my bag with 350 gsm cardstock in Vanilla.  It holds 3 bottles of nail varnish and will be a Christmas gift.   As most of you know I love making Bags and Boxes and this one is really lovely to make.    Trying hard to find time to play at the moment, but I'll be back as soon as I can.    Take Care of yourselves.    Hugs Rita xxxx

90th Birthday Card

Hello folks.   Here I am once more with a 90th Birthday card.    I knew what I wanted to do,  but sometimes things don't work out the way we'd like.   It is a white 8 x 8 card,  and matted and layered with purple and a white edged card.   I also put on the front a smaller card with a personal message inside and it ties with a ribbon bow.  Its adorned with hand-made roses and a few pearls.   Hope your all staying safe in this dreadful weather.  No sign of a let up here.   Got a few more cards to make as well as some household chores that need to be seen too.     Hugs Rita xxxx

Christmas Card Club Challenge 22: Christmas Reindeer

Hello My Dears Friends.    Lots have happened since my last post.  Andrew went in for his knee operation last Friday and was to get the op on the Saturday.  Well that all went to pot when I received a phone call from him saying he was coming home as their was not a full support team for the Saturday,  so far we have not heard anything from them.   I had Carolyn, Hamish and Molly down last week too, so its been a busy week here.   Carolyn decorated and gave the front bedroom a wonderful makeover and I love it.   Hope you all have been taking care of yourselves and enjoying some craft-time.
This week over at the CCC it was my turn to choose the theme.   Hope you like my card.    The card is 8 X 8  and mostly white.  The frame I sprayed with silver sparkle ,but sadly it does not show.   Sorry for lack of commenting and I'll try my best to catch up with you all next week. Things are not so easy at the moment as you can gather.

Gift Bag & Boxes

Hello Everyone.   Well.,  after the rain and wind of yesterday we had a glorious day today,  and I got two loads of washing dried.  Mind you it's not ironed as yet,  it will give me something to do tomorrow.
My post is a gift bag made with the X-Cut die that makes the nicest bags,  in fact my friend Patricia of Summerhouse Crafts gave me one as a gift,  and after that I just had to get the die.   I used a 300gsm pink card to make the bag and cut out an oval  in the centre , to that I added acetate and a picture.  The roses were made by myself and a few leafy die cuts to finish it off.   It is such a good sized bag and I have put a special bath essence in it to make a lovely gift.   The oblong boxes hold Yankee candle tartlets and again will be used as small gifts.   I'll try and keep up with your blogs as much as I can , but with hospital visits imminent it won't be easy.   Carolyn, Hamish & Molly are coming next Monday and will stay till Thursday,  so I will have company after all.   We are going to give one of the bedrooms a makeover as Carolyn does an excellent job.    So you see,  I will not weary.

Christmas Card Club Challenge 21: Carol Singers

Hello My dear friends and fellow bloggers.    Its time for another Christmas
 Card Challenge and this time the theme was picked by our lovely buddy Sue P,  and she has chosen Carol Singers . 
My card is a 6 X 6  scalloped card matted with red & gold.  I used a Marianne die with a topper to have a main picture.  The die cut Carol Singers are Sizzix.   I stamped the holly and added some little berries, them made a gingham bow and stitched some tiny bells to it.   I'm pretty sure my fellow members will have come up with some excellent cards for this theme. 

Andrew goes in to have his Knee op on Friday and the op itself will take place on Saturday.  So after nearly a year of waiting finally its being done.   A big relief for us all.     Enjoy your Day.   Hugs Rita xxxxx
