Mother's Day cards

Hannds Up, I confess to be hooked on this type of card. I was asked to make 2 8x8 cards in a bag for Mother's day and here are the two I came up with. The flowers on the lilac one were made from a punch and most of the card from mixed dies. The roses on the Peach card are from Wild Orchid. Golden Wedding Card

My card to-day is made only from punches and dies. A really good friend sent me the link of Elly who makes the most amazing cards I have ever seen, I spent hours just browsing. Christmas Trees

Hello Everyone, hope you are all enjoying your week-end, as usual I was up early to make a start on my Bah-Humbug Challenge card for this week. My base card is cream, I added a little row of trees from a Clarity stamp. I then distressed along all the edges and corners with forest moss distress ink, then I added my topper which is an Inkadinkadoo stamp that I love.I embossed it in gold and coloured in the berries and pine cones with promarkers just to add a little colour. 90th Birthday card

This was an 8X8 Card and Bag that I finished yesterday for a friend. I did not have a lot of time,so it was a 3d decoupage with some real lace and velvet ribbon added. Hope you enjoy looking at the finished card. Hugs Rita xxxx

Flippin Men Book

Hope I don't bore you with this project. I was asked to make a 50th birthday card for aguy who likes Cycling and Walking and of course had this idea of what I wanted to do, but boy did I give myself a lot of work. However, it was well worth the trouble when I saw how happy they were with the finished card/book, Here is the front card

Bah-Humbug Metal Challenge11

The Challenge this week for Bah-Humbug is Metal, ho-hum. Well,I have had this sheet of mental,sorry metal, for years and never used it, but I tell you what, its doubtful if I will ever again. I embossed it through my cuttlebug and that was fine ,but trying to get it to stick to card was a different matter, even after using my glue gun it kept pinging. Maybe I need a lesson in using metals. But I am quite pleased with my finished card as it was something completely alien to me. Hope you like what I've done. Thanks for looking. Hugs Rita xxxx

Less is More Challenge. Masculine

Hi again, don't the weeks just fly. Anyway, here is my card for this weeks "Less is More" challenge, which is Masculine and I have stamped my card in Memento Rich Cocoa, the stamps are from French Vintage by Creative Expressions and its one I turn to again and again for card. I did the bottle overlay in acetate, but I'm afraid it did not photograph very well. I really don't mind any constructive critisism on my cards as its the only way to learn. Off the Edge

Believe it or not this is my first "Less is More" challenge. As most of you know I love to put lots on my cards and the first challenge card I tried to do just did not seem right for me. So I'm hoping I have done as it says for this weeks challenge, but please tell me if its not as asked. Me stamping a card with no colour seems strange. I used a Serendipity stamp that I had for years and used a Stamping Up sentiment to finish the card. Hugs Rita xxx

Reflections

Well, the challenge for Bah-Humbug 10 this week is Apertures and just by chance I had a card that I was about to start for a Silver Wedding and I thought ,this is my BH Challenge 10 for this week. A first for me as I'm usually rushing midweek to get something done. The Aperture was cut using a Marianne die, and I cut the same die in Silver mirri card. Using my favourite Barbara Gray stamp I embossed it with silver and added some Spray & Sparkle to it. The verse is one from Elusive Images, and the Poinsettia is another Marieanne die. Bah Humbug Challenge 9

Well, I hope you have all enjoyed this weeks challenge as much as I have. Not the hardest card that I have ever made, but I do love using Christmas colours. My main card is cream,layered with green and red, I then added a Tim Holtz embossed folder, in Gold card,set them at an angle, added a peel off that I coloured and gave it a red bow to finish it off. Beethoven

Apologies for neglecting my blog ,but last week was so busy, everyday there was something on. Doesn't happen very often I can tell you, but on Thursday I went to the SECC in Glasgow and had a great time. This is one of 4 stamps that I bought from Butterfly Kisses, all their stamps are beautiful and now I wish I had bought some more, and as I needed a card for Friday, I set to this morning,and I have been busy getting it finished in time. All the stamps are from a set and I distressed my card first before adding the stamps. I used Marieanne swirls and a Musical embossing folder along with my favourite Nesties to finish off the card. Things that Fly

Over at Bah Humbug this week for Challenge 8 the theme is "Things that Fly", si this was one of the very few stamps I have of such things.Its a lovely dove of Peace in a wreath by Inkadinkado. Red Mirri card layered on to my base card, then I cut out a Marianne Die in gold then added my gold embossed dove, added some embelishments just finish it off.
