Pleats & Ruffles

Well, the Bah-Humbuggers ( sorry girls ) don't make it easy. I had to get out my sewing machine for this one. My card is 8X8 and I matted on a layer of red pearlised card and then added a music embossed card. Added my pleated ribbon with a bow at the top to which I added a star. I stamped white linen card with an Anna Griffen stamp and embossed it with gold sparkle EP, then I gave it a distressed look. The base was a piece of vellum that I curled the corners and stamped a sentiment here and there just to give it some colour. Hope you like what I've done. Hugs Rita xxx Thanks for visiting my blog.

Congratulations

This week's LIM Challenge is Thank-You or Congratulations, so this is what I came up with. I think it must be the simplest wedding card that I have ever done. After measuring out the folds on my MS board I then used my Krylon pen on the edges just to give it a bit of dimension. I stamped and embossed the imaged with a gold sparkle embossing powder and used Spun Sugar distress ink to add a little colour and added a matching organza bow.The sentiment is from Stampin Up. Dear Old Santa Claus

Well, over at Bah-Humbug this week the challenge is "Santa Claus". My card this week was made really quickly as I have a busy week ahead. Anyway, I stamped my image on to white card and glittered it a little, after I distressed it. I then used the Marianne frame just to highlight it a bit, then matted it on to silver holograph card added a santa postage stamp and a little sentiment to finish off my card. Enjoy your Week-End. LIM Challenge 12

Hello again. I had a wonderful week with my family, especially my grandchildren. We crammed so much into last week, so I'm tired ,but happy. Anyway, here is my card for this weeks challenge "Off Centre", hopefully I've managed it, I'm still learning the rules for these challenges ,so forgive me if its not right. My base card is white and I stamped my image using smokey grey memento ink and water coloured it with lyra crayons,added a little glamour dust here and there and added my sentiment, that was actually 2 different stamps. LIM Challenge 11: Acetate

Hi Folks, Beautiful day here in the West of Scotland to-day,hope your all enjoying the sunshine too. My card for this weeks challenge was done very quickly as I have visitors arriving to-day for a week. I cut out the front of my card and overlayed it with acetate, then I distressed the edges a bit more than my usual I have to say. Stamped some butterflies and using sakura stardust pens I added a little colour. My sentiment is on the inside of the card. Thanks for looking at my card as I do appreciate it. Hugs Rita xxx

Christmas Stockings

I am very early this week as I have visitors coming to-morrow for a week, so I spent yesterday making this card in between other chores. Bah-Humbug challenge 15 this week is "Christmas Stockings", so I have had this stamp from years ago that was I think only used once as its so large. Howerever, I embossed it with gold EP, and used Promarkers for colouring, added a few gems and of course a satin bow. Hope you all have a lovely week-end. LIM Week 10. Sentiments

Sorry that my first card disobeyed all the rules, but here is my second card, and I have to say its not my kind of card at all. LOTV Wedding card

I only bought my first two LOTV stamps at the SECC in March and now I know why they are so addictive. My main card is white and the corners etc are pink stardream card,I used water color pencils for most of it and embssed the top hat and boots with WOW embossing powder. I masked it all except the bridal gown and sprayed it with Spray & Sparkle I added pearls and a few small flowers to finish off the card. Bah Humbug Challenge 13.

Spend ages looking through all my christmas stamps for a humorous one that would suit Bah Humbug Challenge 13 "Card to make you Giggle". So this card is the best I can do ,but the look on the snowman's face tells it all. My base card is Red,then matted and layered with white and silver. The image itself I coloured with pro-markers and added some spray and sparkle just to make it glisten.Used a silver Starburst gel pen to fill in the greetings at the top ,added a dark green bow and this is my finished card. Touch of Red

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine to-day. My card for LIM Challenge Week 9 this week is a simple stem stamp from Anita's I think. I used an MS Punch along the side with a strip of red mirri card in behind .
