Christmas Plaque in Mixed Media.

Hello Folks.  I  found a little time to do some crafting and thought I would create a plaque in textures.   This started out as a piece of mount board that I gessoed up  a while ago.   So using Deco-art chalk paint and crackle paint I made a start and this is how it turned out.  using Tim Holtz Festive stencil and texture paste  I made a start. The Poinsettias were made from TH die and the lovely reindeer too.   I left it for a day or two as I had no idea where it was going.  So I added trees and the winter sentiment,  added some holly and pine branches with a pine and berries. The 25 was an afterthought and I finished it off with textured snow and glitter.   It really does look nicer in reality though as the daylight has been rubbish in the last few days.   I am now on my last Aran Jumper, so hopefully I get it finished for Christmas.    Take Care as the weather is about to change according to the forecasts.   Hugs Rita xxxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 23. Feature a Post-Box

Hello My Friends and Followers.      Like most of you I am deeply saddened by the recent events in Paris.   People enjoying themselves and all of a sudden their lives have ended.   So many are still critically injured too and my heart goes out to all the relatives. 
However the challenge for CCC is a Post-Box and was chosen by the lovely Mrs A.    This months Card Inspirations saved my skin as I have no post box stamps,  so the beautiful papers and toppers came as a free gift with the magazine.  I did add some glitter and a bow and so this is my finished card.    Please pop over over and see what the others have done as I'm sure there will be some beautiful cards.  The names are on my side bar.    Still multi-tasking with my projects and hoping they all come together before Christmas.   Take Care Everyone.    Hugs Rita xxxxx

Wedding card

Good Morning Folks.  This has been a glorious weekend and the first time have spent in my craft room feeling creative.  I am not very good at making quick cards, but this one was not hard to make and done with a free folder from Papercraft Essentials magazine. Issue 122.  I made this card for my dear friend Jan's daughter as she recently got married.  The biggest part was cutting an embossing the ivy.  I then used distress inks to colour both sides and glossy accents to finish it off.  Hope you like it, as I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
I have also included a picture of our dear little Zoe who is 17 now and she found a new pillow ( dogs toy) to rest her head.  Take Care everyone and sending my usual Hugs.  Rita xxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 22 is a Cardinal or Christmas Bird.

Hello folks.  Well it is getting nearer to Christmas now and it really is good to know that I have most of my cards finished. Still got family ones to make though.
This fortnights challenge was set by the lovely Mary who sees the pretty cardinals often as there are plenty of them around where she stays.  They really are an amazing bird.
Anyway, here is my offering and I have used a Giordano CD rom by Joanna Sheen, bought a good few years ago now always a favourite at this time of year.  I decoupaged the Cardinal and gave it a sheen with glossy Accents.  Added my sentiment and some mistletoe, I also gave it a little glamour dust to make it a bit more seasonal. 
I am now half way through my second Aran jumper and then I only have one more to do before Christmas.  Been sewing too, but cannot show anything at the moment.   Take Care and I'll see you soon again.  Hugs Rita xxxx
