Christmas Card Club Challenge 19. Embossing.

Hello Everyone,   Another 2 weeks have gone past since the last CCC  and I have been absent from blogging all that time.   However, I managed to quickly make a card for this challenge that was chosen by Gran Margaret and she would like to see embossing wet or dry.   I used a 7 X 7 card and layered it with a pine branch BP,  then added red and green layers to bring out the colour.  My topper was created with a folder from last year by Sheena Douglas and I dusted it down with Iced Spruce distress ink before using gilding wax to highlight it a bit more,  holly and mistletoe dies to add some greenery and a small sentiment to finish it off.

Andrew is still in hospital and is likely to be in for at least another week.  some complications arose that had to be sorted out and he is up and walking 4 times a day,  so what a difference it will make to him.  He will have a long road ahead but I'm sure he will do it eventually.   He so appreciated all the lovely cards sent by friends and fellow bloggers.    I'll be in touch soon, as I can now show the quilted cushion I made for Fiskarettes.  Love and Hugs to All.  Rita xxxxx

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 18: Christmas Carols

Hello Everyone.  Here I am once again with the CCC 18 and the theme was chosen by me Christmas Carols.
My card has been made using LOTV image from a few years  ago, when they visited Glasgow.  The edge of the card was from Sue Wilson Die called  Orion, backed with red card.  I used the TH brick embossing folder before adding the window frame and image.  Red seam binding and a computer generated sentiment completed my card.   We are currently looking for new members and it makes sure you have most of Christmas cards done in plenty of time. 
The last 10 days has been awful as my BPV has come back with a vengeance.  However I am now back on my meds and it is starting to clear.   A bit of good news to share at last, Andrew goes in to hospital on Tuesday with the operation to his left knee being done first on Wednesday morning.  Hopefully no snags this time or I shall blow my top.  I will keep you up to date as to how he progresses.   I will have my next Fiskars Design project up soon too, so watch this space.    Lots of Hugs to Everyone.    Rita xxxxx
