New Bags.

Hello Everyone.  I hope you are all well at the moment and those who are ailing I hope you get better soon.   Still lovely days here,  but really chilly now.    My time as a Fiskars Design team member has just ended and time for a new design team to enjoy.   So here a couple of bags I made whilst on the first team.

The material I used was heavy upholstery fabric and the colours were a perfect match.  The Triangle one was made from a Jenny Rayment book and was so simple to make.   In fact a great book with lots of different projects and bags.   The wavy one is one that I'm sure you've seen before as I have made quite a few of them.   I have a few cards to make today,  so knitting and sewing will have to wait.   Enjoy your Day.  Hugs Rita xxx

Christmas Card Club Challenge 21: CAS. Wreath

Well here we are again ,  another fortnight has gone past and its time for Challenge 21 and it was chosen by the lovely Karen who chose a clean & simple card with a wreath.    I have very rarely made a CAS card because I find it hard not to add embellishments etc to any card.    So here is my card  clean & simple with a wreath that I stamped using free stamps from a magazine.   Not many more challenges to go, but at least I have most of my cards finished now.
  Still knitting for Christmas, one sweater completed and another one started.  still got one to go amongst other gifts that are in different stages,  but nearing completion.   Beautiful weather for the last 3 weeks or so but its very chilly morning and night.   Enjoy your Week-End.   Hugs Rita xxxxx

Fiskarettes Quilted/Patchwork Cushion

Hello Everyone,  Hope you are all keeping nice and warm as the weather has turned rather chilly,  not complaining though as it is still dry up here in the West of Scotland.    Soon after joining the Fiskarettes Design Team I saw a beautiful cushion that Carol Hay had created and of course I had to have a go.   I did do a tartan patchwork quilt many,  many years ago.  I had never actually done a design in cotton.  So today I can now show you my finished cushion that was made from fabric I had in my fabric stash.   It was so much fun and I found it relaxing to sit at my new sewing machine  Singer Confidence Quilter.  I saw it whilst watching Create and Craft one day and really liked it,  so when Andrew said just treat yourself that's just what I did. 
My lovely daughter Annie arrived back on Thursday and brought me back a load of fabulous goodies from Sanfrancisco.  I am hoping it gives me the kick up the jacksy that I need to get going again.  So after lunch I am returning to my craft room and see what I fancy doing.  Thank You all for being so patient with me.

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 20: Robins

Hello Everyone.   Sorry that I have not been blogging regularly.   Andrew is home and doing fine,  this time its moi who is feeling poorly.  Anyway,  I did struggle to make my card this fortnight as lots of things were going on in life.  However, I felt well enough this afternoon to make a card for the lovely Sylvie who chose Robins for our cards this fortnight.   I love the little robins anyway and we always seem to have them visit our garden at this time of year. 
I used BP from Craftwork cards,  because I love the quality and the artwork always amazes me too.  The rest was mainly dies that were used,  and I left them white and glittered them with Prisma glitter.   I made the little robin with air-dried clay and painted it with distress stains.   Sorry Sylvie this was the best that I could manage this time round.   I really am looking forward to getting back in my craft room,  but at the moment I do not have the energy.  Hope you are all keeping well and those who are not at least I can sympathise with you.   Hugs to All.   Rita xxxx
