CCC Challenge 2. Sleigh is the Theme

Hello Again another 2 weeks have gone by and its time for another challenge at Christmas Card Club..  The theme was chosen by Maureen and it is to be a Sleigh.  My offering for this challenge is totally die cuts and the background is an embossing folder.   This year I am planning on making my cards much simpler due to the postage costs.    I have joined the band of Wanderlusts ( see the logo on my page )  so much to learn and I really am enjoying the process.  I have made a journal and still waiting on paint to dry.   You will eventually see it though.  Not being as fast as some at least there is no time limit on your efforts,  the course lasts for a year and we have the cream of the crop to teach us too,  so its a great savings with no travel or overnight stay and it suits me down to the ground.   Hope you are all enjoying your weekend too.  Hugs Rita xxxxx

Anniversary card

Well, here I am back with another card to show, so sorry about the picture,  the embossed background has not shown up as well as I'd hoped.  In fact it looks quite blurred to me as well. 
I have now taken the plunge and joined the Wanderlust group and hope it helps my missing mojo to return.   Got eye drops in my eyes and so my vision today is hopeless,  please excuse any mistakes.   I sill have 2 Birthday cards and a first Anniversary card for my eldest grandson who was married last year, i think I must have missed some months as it seems no time since we were all at the wedding.   Bitter cold here today, so keep yourself warm and cosy.   Thank You for bearing with me and I do appreciate each and everyone of you.  Hugs Rita xxxx

60th Birthday Card

Hello my Dear Friends.   Hope things are fine with you and the terrible weather has been kinder to you than most people around the country.   Its bitterly cold here today,  but really that's nothing compared to what some people are having to contend with.
My card for today is a birthday card that I made for a 60th Birthday.   I used the Sue Wilson striplet dies and added them to Stampin Up card in( Pool),  then layered it on to a white card and added some hand made roses. .  Started to organize my craft room stash and hopefully soon will get things done to my liking.  Meantime I have left a work space to make a card or two.   Thank You All again for your lovely comments, that is what has kept me going.

Christmas Club Challenge 1 Theme is Christmas Food

Hello Folks,  Well this is our first challenge of 2016 over at the Christmas Card Club, and the theme for Challenge 1 is Festive Food and was chosen by  Margaret.   I did think about opting out of this one as I had no food stamps at all, but that was like giving in at the first hurdle, so I found this image on the net and went with that.  The weather here today has been awful and so dark the picture is not as good as the card looks in reality. ( sorry ).
My heart goes those poor people without their homes due to the floods in most of the country.  It really breaks my heart to see the heartbreak of everyone in this position.  Hopefully they get all the help they need to start again.

Happy New Year

Hello Everyone.   I Dearly hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and a really good start to welcome in the New Year.  In all the years of blogging I think last year must have been my worst ever.  I'll not bore you again with the details, but hopefully for me I can wipe the slate clean and make a fresh start.
Not really done anything much since Christmas apart from a good clearing up of lots of things that had been badly neglected. However, I have caught up with most things and today I have given my Craft room a good going over too, still the walk in cupboard to sort and that will be a mahoosive task, good job the door is closed.
