 Just to say that I have missed you All and now I feel ready to return in 2022. I have not had a good year and was in hospital and its taken months to get to where I am today. Christmas Card Club Challenge 8 is Robin Redbreast.

 Good Morning everyone.  A really sad weekend for us all after hearing the news of  the death of Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh and husband to our beloved Queen.  He was an Amazing man .                     However, our Challenge at the CCC has been chosen by Margaret and she would love to see Little Robin Redbreast adorning our cards. I have had to use a picture this time as I could not find my Robin stamp anywhere. I used a 7X7 card matted with red Mirri card , I then used a holly embossing folder to make a second mat before adding my little Robin.  Another week to go till I get my second vaccine. We in Scotland don’t fully open up till the 26th of April. But I did get my haircut this week and felt so much better for it too. Keep Safe Everyone. Hugs Rita

Christmas Card Club. Challenge 7 is Christmas Trees

 Good Morning folks. Once again two weeks have gone past and it’s time for a new challenge from my dear friend and club member Kate.  So I managed 2 cards for this challenge, once again I have gone for flat cards. The first one is 8X8 white base card matted with silver card. The image is one from Katie Sue pad that I bought last year. The second one was from a pad as well, not sure where I bought it. Been busy with Birthday cards this month. Hope you are all well. Another week to go and I can get my hair cut, it’s awful but hey ho lots of us in the same boat. Hugs Rita xxxx   

 

 

Christmas Card Club Challenge 6. Christmas Flowers & Foliage

 Hello Again Folks. Well here we are again and another two weeks have gone past. Our Challenge this time was chosen by our lovely member Zoe and she would like to see Christmas flowers and foliage or as always Anything goes.  I have managed two cards for this challenge both are showing Poinsettias. The first one is an arrangement and the second one is a beautiful embossing folder and after colouring and adding some gold wax my card was finished.  Hope you are all keeping safe and well and hopefully there will be some light at the end of the tunnel soon.  If anyone would like to join us and have your Christmas cards ready to go before Christmas , just contact any of our members and we will always welcome you in to our Christmas Card Club. Christmas Card Club. Challenge 5 : Christmas Carols

 Well Ladies. Here we are again and tomorrow is the 1st of March, how did that happen. Well it’s my turn to choose the challenge and I’d like to see Christmas Carols on your cards but as you all know it’s perfectly fine to choose “Anything Goes”. My eyes are really bad and I’m finding it hard on my computer just now so doing this post on my laptop as it’s easier at the moment. My card is more of a Christmas song  than a Carol.  I stamped the sentiment and gold embossed it, before adding to a an easel card that I matted and layered with Gold and White before adding my image. I made it 3D by making a slim box shape so it would fold flat, I put it in place using silicone glue, then added some die cut trees and a sentiment to finish my card. Christmas Card Club. Challenge 4. Theme. Playing in the Snow

 Hello to Everyone.  It is with heavy heart that one of our members Shaz Brooks has sadly passed from this world yesterday, after a long fight with Cancer. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and family. Her husband Doug was with her till the end and I’m sure most of you will be sending condolences to Doug and the Family.    Our challenge today is Playing in the snow and I had to revert to a Hunky-Dory kit card from many years ago. However, hope I will be back stamping and sharing my next Challenge cards. Stay Safe. Hugs Rita. 

Male Birthday Card

 Hello Everyone. Hope you are all bearing up during this strange time in our lives. Had my vaccine 2 weeks ago and had no problems with it at all. I am having problems with my eyesight though as it’s deteriorated quite a bit in the last few months, however I have an appointment at the hospital on the 23rd February so we’ll see what happens then.  My card today was one I made for my Grandson’s birthday last Saturday. Christmas Card Club. Challenge 3. Bells

 Hello Everyone. Now we are in the last day of January and hopefully the Spring days will be with us again soon. The weather at times has been terrible for most of the uk, but I hope you are all safe and well. I have managed two cards for this challenge, chosen by Mrs A and she would like to see Bells. both my cards have very small bells on them. I’m finding hard this year as I try to make flatter cards for posting, it’s not that easy when you have always added a bit of height to your cards, even a sentiment sometimes can put the postage up. Some of my Christmas makes

 Well it’s a beautiful day here in the West of Scotland so I though you might like to see my Christmas 2020 makes. The Shetland Yuglet hat and matching socks were for my hill-climbing son-in-law and the  other socks were for grandchildren. The pincushion was made for my daughter Annie and they all went down well. Christmas Card Club. Challenge 2 Theme is Nativity

 Hello Everyone, Gosh how quickly is January passing by. Never mind Spring will soon be here and the days are getting longer already.  Our second Challenge of 2021. Sorry about the picture as this week has been pretty dismal for taking pictures. The acetate over my picture has not shown up well at all. Christmas Card Club. Challenge 1. Theme is Using Craft Card.

 Well Ladies here we are in January 2021 for our first challenge of the year. Well I have used Craft card for my base card and then stamped and die cut Poinsettias from craft card as well. I matted a piece of paper to that I added a piece of hessian ribbon then attached a large and a small poinsettia. Finished it off with a die cut and sentiment.  Just put my Christmas decorations and tree away yesterday , well Annie and her lovely husband did it for me. Hope you all enjoyed the festive season even though it was under strict instructions to stay at home. Happy to say all my family including myself did just that. Hoping now we have a vaccine it will make us all feel safer and give the wonderful NHS staff a much earned rest. Hugs Rita xxx-
