Many of you know of course that previous to my card-making exploits, I designed and created my own Artists bears for 13 years. Since breaking my wrist 18 months ago I never thought I'd ever sew another bear as I found it difficult to hold a needle. Being a qualified seamstress all my life, this was a terrible blow to me. So 'Victoria' is the first bear I've made for 2 years and I stitched her all by hand, and my determination has paid off. So I thought I would give her away to one of my followers once I reach 200 posts.
She is only 4.5 inches tall and is made from mohair. she has glass eyes and her pads and paws are ultra-suede. Her shawl is antique lace adorned by a rose and an old piece of ribbon gives her the aged look I wanted. She would look very pretty sitting at someone's craft desk
I'll keep this post at the top of my blog until I reach my 200th follower. Hugs Rita xx
