Christmas Card Club. Challenge 14. Snowmen

Hello My dear friends and followers,  Thank You All so much for all the lovely Birthday Wishes, presents and cards, and the beautiful cards following the passing of my best friend Jan,  I still feel numb, but I know it will pass, but we were very close and much as her suffering is over, she has left a gap that cannot be filled.

However, on to the Christmas Card Club Challenge 14 that was chosen by the lovely Lorraine and she wanted Snowmen, sorry I misinterpreted as Snowman, sorry Lorraine.  This was a piece of Cross-stitch from many years ago and I thought I should make it into a card.  After matting on to the gold mirri card, my mind went blank and I could not think what to do with it.  So it is all layers and a die cuts to finish it off.  I need to try and pick myself up again and start crafting, I have been knitting a 3ply Vogue sweater for Carolyn's Christmas and it really is slow going, but I should be okay time wise.  Once again I thank you for your patience in bearing with me whilst I tended my friend the best way I could and that was being there with her until the end.   Be back soon.    Hugs Rita xxxx

Such a sweet card with that lovely snowman! I have been so out of touch that I had not heard of your friend's Jan's passing, so sorry to hear that, but like you say, at least she is out of pain now, and like Annie says, you will have so many wonderful memories to treasure. Sending HUGE hugs! xxxxx

Such a wonderful snowman card with this beautiful cross stitch taking centre stage. A truly thoughtful card and gift with so much work involved in the stitching.
There was no misinterpretation at all Rita, you can have one snowman or many, it's all good so long as you enjoyed it. So glad you are feeling more able to craft and as Margaret said above, it is very therapeutic and healing for you at this sad time. Take care,
Lorraine

Rita, the stitched snowie is lovely, and the presentation is even more so! Love the soft glimmer and piercing of the mat piece behind him. (I only had one snowman too!). You have been on an emotional roller coaster of late, so you will need time to find calm & serenity. Everyone understands. Hope you were able to have a pleasant birthday, even amidst your sorrow at losing your dear friend. Hugs & TFS

Your little cross stitch snowman looks very elegant with this die cut surrounds. I lovely card. Sorry for your loss. We just had sad news last week of a good friend who had died. A great loss and one we were not expecting as we had not known he had been ill the past month. Hugs Mrs A.
