Shop Till you Drop

Well folks ,at last I managed a card. Not my usual kind of card mind you, but I was asked to do a card with a shopping theme to it and this what came to mind. Its a digi stamp from Kenny K, called Madison Attitude. As most of you know I struggle with colouring images. I used the Spectrum Noir pens for this one and the colour wheel to help with the colours. Both backgrounds were embossed and layered on to some white shimmer card. The sentiments were computer generated. Still got some learning  to do on the hair though.  To-day I am back in my comfort zone and finishing off a book card for my eldest Grandson, who will be 27 on Wednesday, where do the years go I wonder.  The last 3 days have been lovely here on the West Coast and the spring flowers are beginning to peep through.  I hope you are all enjoying your week-end.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Hi Rita,
this such a lovely image so right for the younger people. You have done a wonderful job of the colouring. I gave all my Spectrum Noir pens away as I couldn't get on with then like the Promarkers. I find my colouring in has improved since using them. Still I suppose there are people who prefer the Spectrums out there.
Have a wonderful crafty evening.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Love it Rita, such a great image and you have coloured it so well. I love colouring in, but there are areas that I'm not so confident about, furry animals for example, but I strive on. I'm sure this card will be loved, take care of yourself, kate x

Hi Rita, your colouring is fabulous here - colouring is not something I've ventured into yet as it looks tricky! This card is just the ticket for a young woman. Thank-you so much for your lovely comments on my blog and for following me. Have a lovely week - snow is forecast for midweek over here - we escaped it in recent weeks luckily. Nicola x

Isn't it hard when you get a theme that wouldn't normally be something you'd tackle! Love what you have done here Rita - fab colouring I'd say! Hugs, Jenny x

The colouring looks pretty cool to me - a sassy, funky card - great way to handle a theme you were uncomfortable with - it's a great card!
