Birthday card

Hello Everyone.  This was a birthday card that I made on Sunday for a friend,   it was for a 50th Birthday and the recipient is a Keep Fit fanatic.   So I tried to keep it nice , but at the same time add something referring to keeping fit.   She picked it up last night and loved it..
Spent 3 hours at the hospital yesterday with Andrew for his pre-op and although it went well,  it could still be some time before he gets called.  The Orthopedic ward has been closed as the beds were needed for Medical patients.   It all has to be cleaned out once it's empty,  as the they cannot have patients with open wounds allowed  back in till the work is done.  Seemingly Bed Blocking is another big issue too,  with all wards full to overflowing.  We used to have the best NHS in the country, where did it go.    Hope you are all well and enjoying the lovely spring weather, even though it is chilly the sun has been shining.      Hugs to All.   Rita xxxx

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it, what a fantastic card. Brilliant image, great sentiments and design.
I do hope it is not too long before Andrews operation is done.
You are so right about the NHS. It is all these "so called" managers that are making an absolute mess.of it .......... bring back the old fashioned system with a Matron. Ok that's my opinion
Have a great day.
Hugs for both of you

The image really did make me smile Rita. Your card is gorgeous but fun at the same time, not something that is easy to achieve but you did a sterling job!

I really do hope that Andrew gets his operation soon, it has been so hard for both of you. I have got my fingers - and everything else - crossed! Big hugs to you both, Anne xxx

Brilliant card Rita, just perfect for your keep fit frend, the image is wonderful.
So frustrating for you and Andrew both. The last two governemnts have been eroding the NHS so that in the end people will get sick of it and go private, we can allow that to happen, there was nothing like it anywhere in the world. Sorry Rita, rant over, hope Andrew gets called in soon, hugs Kate x

What a fabulous card Rita I love it, you friend could do nothing but like and be delighted with it I am sure. Both you and Andrew must be cheesed off with the NHS to say the very least, which other 'business' is allowed to treat it's customers in this manner? The sooner all these so called managers are sacked and a matron brought back who knows what to do, how to do it, and knows everything that is going on in a hospital, the better! Also the money paid to these managers could be much better spent in the actual hospital for the good of it's patients. Sorry to be on my soap box but I do feel strongly about this.
So pleased you are enjoying some lovely weather take care.

What a super image find for this friend's special interest, and you really did turn it into a glam card with that wonderful die and the pretty colors. Hope all will go well for this so-oft postponed procedure. Hope Andrew can stay well so that if the word comes down - finally - he will be all set to go & get this over with. So much flu about here in the USA, and I expect in your area as well. Stay healthy. Hugs & TFS
