Christmas Card Club. Challenge 4. Snowy Mountains and Skies

Hello Everyone.  It really is amazing where 2 weeks have gone since our last challenge, but here in Ayrshire it has been really nice Spring weather, so no complaints here.
This week at the CCC it is my dear friend Kates Challenge and she chose Snowy Mountains.  This time round I have done two cards as The first one did not turn out as expected., I tried my new Prima pencils instead of my usual Faber-Castell  and maybe I should have practiced some more before attempting a card, but hey ho that is the things that are sent to try us. So I then did a second card , one of my favourite images, sadly it is not Scotland, but beautiful Switzerland as I found out after I put the heather on the card.  So Kate I hope you like my cards for your Challenge this fortnight.  Please visit the rest of the team , the links are on my side bar.  Enjoy your Day and the evenings are getting brighter too.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Both cards are beautiful! I struggle with coloring of any kind but do best with watercolor or Distress Inks.

Absolutely gorgeous cards Rita, wonderful mountain scenes, and you colouring is beautiful as I think mountain aren't all that easy to colour. Perfect for the challenge, Kate x

Oh my goodness! #1 looks like a gorgeous Thomas Kincaid painting & a scene from the USA's western mountains. Your pencil coloring is wonderful, so smoothly done. I love the way you've captured the sky colors, the dark shades on the trees round that cabin & the snowy peaks. #2 DID make me think of the Scottish mountain scenes I've enjoyed in the scenery of some of the tv shows I watch, and once again, lovely presentation. Great work on both of these. TFS & Hugs

Your mountains are beautiful wherever they are Rita! I prefer my Inktense for colouring but I am trying to persevere with my Faber-Castells as hubby bought me some for my birthday last year! Hugs, Chrisx

You are such a talented artist. The shading and colours are perfect here! No one but you ( and a couple of us) will know that is Switzerland. In fact, adding the heather made it Scotland...right?
