Male Birthday Card
Here I am again to show the Birthday card I made for my eldest Grandchild Garry. I tell you now I really am quite a novice at making male cards, I prefer Bows, Flowers and Glitz. But I did enjoy making this one, apart from it being special. I used my new set of 8 x 8 embossing folders and did a bit of smudging here and there before putting the card together. Using the clock as a time machine and a few bits and pieces to represent where does time go as Garry is our eldest Grandchild. I proceeded to use Imagination Crafts Rusty Patina and Verdigris along with Alchemy waxes to give it an aged effect. some hessian and cardboard and the sentiments added, and my card was finished. I have to say, I am pleased with the finished result. Hope you enjoy seeing my finished card. Garry loved his card too.

Hi Rita, I do like this card, loving all the textures. I think the Rusty Patina is brilliant, it gives great texture to your card and the waxes, well what can I say lol! they give such fabulous effects. I have to admit, I'm hopeless when it comes to making male cards, like you, I like flowers, frills and sparkle lol! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Hugs Jennifer xx.
A truly brilliant masculine card! No wonder your grandson liked it! Chrisx
Looks very expert to me!! I love your choice of items that are decorating the card, and love the rusting patina on the clock. Cool idea to use the corrugated paper, lovely texture with the little rusting topper. I like the paste texture, the burlap, and I think your Grand will figure you are an expert at Guy cards too! TFS & Hugs
