Christmas Card Club. Theme is Christmas Gifts or Bags

Good Morning Everyone. Isn’t this weather just awful, with Storms , Snow, Sleet and Rain. Then all the household bill set to rise this year too. Thank Goodness for Crafting Folks.  Our Challenge this week was chosen by Lorraine and she would love to see some Christmas gifts or Bags.  So for this Challenge I’ve chosen a Box with a matching Card. I made the 4X4 box using wine card for the base and gold for the lid. Using a hexagon die I cut out the centre of a square in gold and using the Tim Holtz poinsettia die I cut out in vellum and coloured with various inks. Strung the bells and hung them over the poinsettia so they would ring when lifted. The foliage was part of my stash. The card was really made from the leftovers of the box. I was in my element Lorraine making things from scratch and using up bits and pieces on my desk.. Hope everyone is well. Hugs Rita xxxx

As you say thank goodness for crafting - certainly helps to keep the mind away from all the negative stuff which is going on, real occupational therapy!! This is a really beautiful box and also the lovely card which goes inside. That vellum poinsettia is a great choice for the decoration.

Hi there Rita, your gift box and matching card are stunning. I love how you have added the bells so they ring when the lid is taken off, such a great idea. Love the colour combination too, so elegant.
