Snowflakes

Hello again,  feeling a lot better to-day so I thought I would try the Challenge 226 over at Sunday Stampers.  The theme this week is Snowflakes and Hels has done the most beautiful tag using the distress metallics, but sadly I don't have them.  However I have made a tag using two different embossing folders and distressing it with tumbled glass and chipped sapphire. I then sprayed it with the silver spray & sparkle to give it a lift. The large snowflake is a sizzix die and the smaller ones are from a woodware punch. I then glued and dipped them in Diamond Chips and its just a pity the photo does not show it too well. The sentiment is from a set by Sheena Douglass. I added a few gems to the snowflakes and tied it up with silver string.   Hope you are all enjoying some me time to-day and getting time to craft.   Hugs Rita xx

Hi Rita, this is lovely and proves you don't need to have all the same supplies when you are clever enough to find suitable substitutes as you have. I like the combination of two embossing folders too and those snowflakes are gorgeous. Glad to read that you are feeling a bit better too. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Oh Rita, this is beautiful. I haven't got metallic stains either but like you if we improvise with the shiny things we have got the results can still be spectacular. Love that you have used two embossing folders on this. It really helps to add even more interest. Glad you are feeling better. Hugs, Buttons x
