William Morris card

Hello folks,  Hope you are all enjoying another Monday.  After clearing up I thought I would make a start on some Thank-You cards as my box was empty of this type of card.  My younger daughter had used William Morris wallpaper in 2 of her rooms recently and I asked if I could have the left-overs.  My favourite small card have got to be the double diamond card by Kay Rutter of Hougie board fame, they are so quick to make and I do love them.  So here is one of my cards ,using the said wallpaper as a backing paper on to my cream card. The image is one from a WM print and I laid it on to my Gold Labels 4 die cuts that I edged with a gold calligraphy pen. Simple to make card and cost next to nothing.  Still struggling to find my mojo as whats in my head is not what happens on paper. I'm working hard so that it does not do a disappearing trick.   Hugs Rita xxx

Oh! Wowser, this is great Rita what a fantastic shaped card.
I love everything about it.
I have a Hougie board but have never got the hang of using it.
I have thought of buying the "Junior" one to see if that would help...... ME! I am beyond help I think!!!
Keep up with the wonderful creations

This is gorgeous Rita. I haven't used my Hougie for anything fancy, apart from stepper cards. I must admit that I use my Martha Stewart board much more, even though it doesn't have metric measurements, because there are so many more divisions. Maybe I'll have a go at this because it is a fabulous shape. Christine xx

What a beautiful card, Rita - it may not be what you were after, but I think it works so well. The Morris paper and that image are wonderful, and I love the architecture of the two side panels - very Charles Rennie Mackintosh in its lines- so the perfect fit for the Morris! Hope you'll feel happy at your craft desk soon - but I'm already happy with this result!!

This is a stunner, Rita! We should all be so lucky to create such wonderful work, even when we aren't feeling at our best creatively. I know what you mean about the work not matching the head vision, but it's lovely work nonetheless and you've every right to be proud!!

Great job recycling the wallpaper scraps. Did you have any trouble adhering them? I've had that trouble in the past when trying to use wallpaper scraps in crafting.
