Punk Rocker

Good Morning Peeps. Not so nice to-day in the West Coast of Scotland, but at least I have a card to show you.  Over at Sunday Stampers Challenge 219 the theme is Steam Punk.  As you will see I got taken in a slightly different direction because the title " I Wish I was a Punk Rocker" got into my head and it would not shift.  I started out with the masking tape technique and used Distress Stain to colour the tape. once it had dried off I sprayed it with pearl mist and added some crackle accents to parts of my piece.  Now for the fun part, I distressd the large clock face and I added a piece of gold net underneath. All this time I was singing the title song, so chains, keys & safety pins came to mind. I coloured some wooden alphabet letters with Alchohol inks ready to add to my finished piece. The frame at the top I used the rusting technique from Crafty Notions, I added to this my letters and a few embellishments. I also crackled the small wheels too.  What a Fun Challenge it was, Thanks to Hels and the great themes she gives us at SS.   I hope you All enjoy your Day.   Apart from tired and sore limbs, I feel so much better to-day.  Hugs Rita xxxx

Hi Rita, love how you were transported by that song and ended up with this mini masterpiece, I really love the colours and the distressed clock face. I must take lessons from you on the rusting technique, I keep failing but yours looks perfect. Glad to hear you feel much better today. Crafty hugs, Anne x
