Retirement Card and Bag

Good Evening Friends and Fellow Bloggers.    Sorry I have been AWOL again , but I just have not felt like doing anything much at all recently.     My friend Jan is absolutely devastated  by Peter's sudden death,  to make matters worse the funeral is not taking place till Monday 16th June.
I have another two Retirement cards to make and this is one of them.   Mary likes to travel and intends to do much more after she retires.    I have used Tim Holtz menagerie papers along with topper that I decoupaged.  I also added a couple of flowers that I distressed a bit to fit in with the colours.    Really lost my mojo big time at the moment.  Hopefully it will be back soon.   Take Care.  Love & Hugs Rita xxxx

Card and Bag

The Moon rises and the Sun sets
on all of us, Man or Woman,
black or white, rich or poor.
Regardless of who we love ,
or where we live.

It is hardly surprising that you do not feel like crafting Rita, it is such a difficult time for Jan, her family and her friends. Your photo and words at the end of your post are so beautiful and say it all really....

Your card is fabulous, I love how you added all those travel elements, I think your friend Mary will be delighted with this beauty.

See you soon - can't wait! Big hugs, Anne xx

I'm not surprised you're feeling Mojo-less, Rita - though I have to say it doesn't show in your fabulous card... what wonderful colours and collaging of all those brilliant travel images - and the belt is a wonderful finishing touch.

Still sending love and hugs to you, and Jan, and the whole family.

Terrific card with the traveling theme, and perfect for your retiring friend. Also enjoyed the serene sunset picture. My heart goes out to your friend Jan. You will just have to give priority to helping her through these next weeks and months, and blogging doesn't seem as important as being a good friend just now. So we'll all be here when your MoJo and time returns. You take care, give yourself a big hug, as I know you will be helping your dear friend cope. TFS

Feeling for you Rita. Death when it's unexpected is such a shock and can really push you off course. I hope the funeral passes smoothly for your friend Jan. It is good she has such a good friend in you.
