Birthday Card

Hello to you All.   I have been playing  AWOL for a week, but the truth be told I was finishing Molly's lace shawl.   I had no inclination to make a card at all and the weather was so dark and dismal.   However I managed to make a birthday card to-day, but found it difficult to get motivated.  So its a card made up from dies and using Teal & White card I managed to create a  card for a friends birthday later this month. I used SB Elegant Labels four along with a lovely heart die from Cheery Lynn called Lattice Hearts & Vines.  Finished off with a sentiment and some pearls, ribbon and a tiny rose.  I'm intending to start another card this evening as there is nothing I watch on television.   My craft room too is in need of an overhaul and that is a job I'm not looking forward to.  Got a phone call from my only brother this morning saying he is hoping to come  over for a visit in July.  He stays in Australia, so it would be wonderful to see him again.   I hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend no matter what you are doing.   Hugs Rita xxxx

Love this white & teal, and the super elegant dies you have shared on this beauty. I have the S/B and a similar heart die (Not CL though). I shall definitely be trying your design! Happy to hear that during the gloomy weather days, you've got something exciting to look forward to - a visit from your brother in the summer. Enjoy it. Hope you share the shawl too. Stay warm & cheerful. Hard to do when gray weather though. TFS & Hugs

Gorgeous Rita, love the colour, really pretty. Are you going to show us your shawl? I love lace knitting. I'm finding it a bit difficult to get motivated too. Maybe now that I've got a good (hopefully) internet connection again I'll be able to visit my favourite blogs more easily and also find challenges to enter. I usually spend Saturday evening watching stuff on Sky+ since there's nothing I want to watch on tv either.

Have a lovely weekend.

Good evening Rita, beautiful card, love all the wonderful Die work, colours and design.
Never managed to get the hang of the "nupps" on the shawl. Making a nice wrap instead...........!!!
Can just imagine the excitement in the house with news of your brothers visit.
Absolutely bucketing rain here, a night for the fire
Have a great weekend

It is so hard to get motivated when it's dark and miserable outside so I do sympathise Rita. This is beautiful though, especially with the use of that fabulous teal colour. Jenny x

I could never guess that you are not feeling motivated from viewing this beauty of a card. That teal colour is so very pretty.
How wonderful if your brother manages to visit, that will make for a very special Summer.

Your white and teal looks fabulous Rita - and yes I understand about the dark and miserable weather we are having! Pretty grim here too. How lovely for you to see your brother - I have just arranged to see mine too after three years and he lives in the UK! I am sure you will find all manners of things when you start on the craft room - I did!!

Do show us the shawl!
