' Dreaming of You ' Vintage Card

Hello Everyone.   I hope you are all winding down after the excitement of the Festive Season.  My younger members of the family went home yesterday and we worried till they arrived home as the weather was really bad.  It was Wonderful to have everyone together and it definitely perked us up.  I started this card a while ago and found it again whilst tidying up, so I decided to give it some finishing touches. The stamps are old ones by Rubber Stampede called Dreaming of You and Definition Background.   I actually started out using up offcuts of Tim Holtz paper from the French Industrial pad.  I then stamped the images with Archival Sepia ink before distressing with Walnut Stain and Bundled Sage distress inks.  I added some lace to the image. So today I found some Marianne corners on my desk and gave them a good going over with the inks before getting to work with my Treasured Gold waxes. Added some crochet flowers and a few of my own just to give it some height.  The Sizzix heart was one of the many TH dies that I received from Annie  in my Christmas box.   Now I'm about to start a White on White Wedding card with matching bag , so I better make sure my surfaces are pristine clean.   Enjoy your Day.    Hugs Rita xxxx

Love it that you used more colours instead of the monochrome you usually see in vintage! Inky greetings, Gerrina

A stamp I've always loved but don't actually own and missed out last year when I lost out on E-bay!
The colour palette and the mix of textures is so beautiful. As your cards always are, this is another one which is so elegant.

A wonderfully special vintage card with all your signature touches. I especially love those burnished corners. Your pretty doily with the crotchet flowers made it so elegant & feminine, with the lovely old-fashioned photo. Loved the lace and the tiny pins too. TFS & Hugs. Stay warm tonight.

Glad you enjoyed the time with your family too. We have lots of rain here but thankfully no flooding like they have in the South. Hugs, Anne x

Hi Rita,
another of your super creations. I love your crochet flowers, and the corners, it reminds me I also have them and haven't used them in about a year. Great vintage card.
There is nothing that can beat family around you at holiday time, so glad they arrived home safely in this awful weather everyone is having. Mind you it's been quite nice here today.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

I wanted to thank you for stopping by to my blog and letting me know that you saw my banner in good condition...as I explained last night I had a very bad experience with it , some "horrible" pictures appeared on top of my banner, today when I opened it they were gone, how weird!!!
I do not understand what was that!!! I panicked when i saw them...I did not do anything, as they came they went!!! spooky hug?
