My dear friend Patricia at Summerhouse Crafts will be really proud of me as I made my very first Snippet card from the cuttings from the box. I used a mask to give me the shape and used distress ink in Bundled Sage to add some colour, then added the snippets. Patricia has made some fantastic Snippet cards ,so maybe you'd like to pay her a visit over at her Blog ( Here )
Its been such a dismal day here, dark and wet. So as its Burn's Night we will be having the traditional Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, it should be taken with a wee dram of Scotch Whisky too. Robert Burns was our National Poet and the 25th January was his Birthday, so in Scotland we celebrate the birth of Robert Burns. We stay a few miles from where he was born in Alloway, Ayrshire. I hope you all enjoy your week-end and after a quick tidy up, I will produce another card hopefully. Hugs Rita xxxxxx

Lovely, lovely project, Rita - glorious use of the papers, and beautifully made.
Hope you enjoy your haggis (my mum's having some, and I may have a nibble - definitely having neeps and tatties though!).

Your box is fantastic, as is the card - great use of the snippets! Well done! Have fun with Burns' Night, and enjoy your food. I'm not so fond of Haggis, but I'll take plenty of Neeps, Tatties and Whisky!
I absolutely LOVE that box, Rita! I have to go in search of the tutorial! Your snippet card is lovely. Isn't it great to be able to use the little bits and pieces leftover from other projects to make beautiful things? Enjoy your weekend.
Rita, Oh! Rita that is one stunning box. Have not done one of these...........yet!,,,
Beautiful card, brilliant use of the snippets. It is a great feeling to use them isn't it???
Hope you enjoy the traditional meal, I love Haggis but John is not that keen. I got round it by stuffing Chicken Breast with the Haggis and having the Tatties & Neeps
Have a great weekend

Your snippets made into something totally gorgeous, and I hesitate to even bring up the word 'snippet' in context with this lovely G45 box! You really did an outstanding project, and it's so beautiful. Enjoyed reading about the neeps & taties, and I always am curious as to just what Haggis might taste like. I had 'blood pudding' on a trip to Ireland, long, long ago, but I didn't know what it was when I ate it! A bit coarse & corn meal textured, and was 'ok'. Then I learned what it was called! The name "haggis' always sounds as though it would be quite tasty, and I think I've read it used some (strange to me!) ingredients! I hope your celebration was warm & cozy & all the foods were delicious. I hear you about the 'visitin'. I get caught up - almost - then I'm woefully behind again! TFS & Hugs!
Oh my gosh what a gorgeous box Rita , love the secret compartments and images with all the pretty colors.
Hugs Diane
