Springtime Card

Hello again folks.  Well, we have had such a beautiful day here and hopefully so have you.  It really makes a difference to how we think, speaking for myself  here.
I have a confession to make though, remember I said I was going to update my craft room, well I did start and then came across my Susan Tierney Cockburn dies and flower kit.   So suffice to say that I sat down and started making pansies, and got lost in my flower making that dinner was a little bit later than usual last night.
So this morning I have put together an 8X8 card displaying my Pansies. The backing  paper is from Graphic 45  Secret Garden Pad and its so stunning, I would recommend it to anyone that loves flowers.
The corners again are from  Joy Crafts and the clock and the swirls are from Cheery Lynn and are so easily cut.  The sentiment is one that I keep reminding myself and its from Inkylicious..  You can tell that I'm easily distracted, but I have made a start to-day and promised myself I would not start another card until I have spruced up my work space. ( no mentiom of my walk in cupboard though.) That will keep till another day.
A few of you asked about Molly's shawl, but because it was the same Khaki colour as her Mum's and Aunt Annies I did not want to bore you with another shawl.   So I have added a previous picture for those that have never seen my Lace knitted shawls. Looking forward to a change of colour for my next one though.  Hope you are all having a lovely day whether or not your crafting.   Thank-You for all the lovely comments you so kindly leave on my blog as everyone is so much appreciated.    Hugs Rita xxxxx

Oooh I love those pansies Rita - I have to admit that I am just like you and it has taken me over a year to sort out my craft room (still bits to be sorted) because I get soooo distracted! Mind you I like it like that because variety is the spice etc etc!!! Your card is striking but purple is my favourite colour so that is a start! I am so glad that you are going to join our CCC club - can't wait to see some of your creations.

Big hugs to you Sue Pxxx

PS The shawl is super - the pattern detail is amazing.

Molly is incredibly lucky!
Rita you made me smile that your good intentions fell by the wayside as soon as you spied your crafting goodies and before you know it, you are creating a card!
Nobody makes flowers such as you do. I should nickname you the Flower Lady as they are always so exquisite they look as though they are shop bought, incredible to imagine they are handmade.

So glad that your weather played nicely today. It definitely has an effect on my own moods, especially if we have several gloomies in a row. Your card is lovely, and I'm so happy you located your S.C dies. Maybe I can channel your 'spirit guide' and find some missing items here at my house. Love that G45 paper, and kudos to you for using some of it. I find G45 so hard to cut into a new sheet. When I can find 6x6 pks, it doesn't seem quite so daunting. Love your pretty pansies- so realistic. I have a couple of those flower dies, but not brave enough todate to attempt a flower. Love looking at the dies though! (Much like the G45 paper pads). Your filigree corners were so dressy with the pretty lavender paper & the gorgeous posies. Well done, and the shawl is so delicate & lovely. Molly is a lucky lady! TFS & Hugs. Good luck on the cleanup project.

Beautiful card and wonderful pansies Rita. I wouldn't have the patience for that. :) Your shawl is magnificent and must have taken a long time to do, but so worth all the effort. You are a very talented lady. :) x

Hi Rita,
stunningly beautiful card as usual. Love your superb pansies. They are amazing.
I know what your mean about getting caught up with creating flowers. I too loose track of all time when creating them. Luckily DH doesn't wait for me to cook he just gets on with the cooking. So I am very lucky, and he doesn't have to starve.lol.
Love your superb shawl, it must take you ages to make all that lovely lace stitches, and very fine wool too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
