White Wedding Card

Hello to everyone.  Isn't this month just flying in.  I never liked January anyway, but like it or not it's here.
My card to-day was one I got a commission for in early December and was to be made for January.   So after the festivities were over I started to think about a design for my card.  The finished card is the one I am showing you today.   However, on Thursday of last week I asked for the details etc, and Guess what........ it was for January 2015.  No pressure there then.   Anyway, I am pleased with my finished card most of  it was made up of dies and of course my little roses.
Over Christmas I was knitting shawls and berets for gifts and of course they took off like a rocket, everyone loved them and now I have orders.  I knitted a silver grey one for my friend Jan as she feels her head very cold and loves her hat,  so I have just finished another one for her in a beautiful purple heather colour,  my girls both have Khaki ones and love them too.  I've added some pictures below the card.
Very wintry and cold today, but nothing like the terrible floods that others are having to cope with.
Please look after yourselves and keep warm and dry.    Hugs Rita xxx

Jan's Beret

I steam my Berets with a dinner plate inside to hold the shape.

Love your card Rita - I am so in awe of people who craft in white! It looks absolutely fabulous.

And the berets ........ oooh just fabulous too. No wonder you are getting orders! I love the pattern and I am sure it would be a good one for some of my handspun wool.

Keep warm - just cold here, no wind at all which is most unusual! Jennie x

Oh Rita, your post made me laugh today, your clients were certainly well organised! The card is a real stunner though, I so admire your white on white creations, they look so classy and elegant. As to your knitting.... well I have seen some of it irl so I can vouch for what a clever knitter you are. The berets look fantastic and a great idea to dry them with a plate inside!

Hi Rita,
my you are one talented lady. I love those berets. I too wear a white one in the winter, which I bought at Debenhams a few years ago, but those are really fab. I have in the past made my DH a few lovely aran
jumpers, but have never tired a hat, only childrens or babies. I used to crochet beautiful babies bonnets, but sadly I did them from my head and can't remember how to make them now.
Well as usual I digress from your stunning wedding card. Love the dies used in this super creation.
Your roses are super too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Your WoW card is drop dead gorgeous! How wonderful that you have it ready so far ahead..now, don't forget where you store it! Loved all those gorgeous dies. Beautiful in the white. Your knitting is so impressive...and I love the soft colors. Bet these feel so cozy & soft against the wearer's head. They are so lucky to receive such a wonderful handmade special hat. TFS & Hugs. January is half over, and it's not one of my favorite months either. Not sure why.

I LoVe white on white but it never seems to work when I try it! Also TOTALLY LoVe those berets! I have been getting out and about more since the overwhelming grief of the last 7 years began to ease and am finding I need some sort of hat for my rambles around the lake ... I just look so daft in anysort of hat though ... your berets are gorgeous and if they were for sale I'd be placing an order! Love to you Rita, from Debbie xXx #61

Absolutely gorgeous white on white wedding card, Rita - though I do think it's hilarious that you're a year early for your deadline!! The berets look so good - love all that knobbly detailing... not a knitter so I don't know the lingo, sorry! And fascinated to hear how the shaping is done...
