Accordian Card for an Engagement.

Good Evening folks.  Hope you are recovering from the bad spell of weather recently.  We had beautiful blue skies and sunshine to-day,  in fact it was not cold at all.
This was an Engagement card I was asked to make and was given specific instructions to follow.  Mainly about the venues as such, because the engagement took place on Westminster Bridge in London,  the couple adore London and also like good wines, so it gave me some clues and that was a help.  This is the first time I have done one of these cards and boy does it use a lot of card and paper, as anyone who has used these dies to make one will tell you.   However, the client was delighted and I was just glad to help.  I also made a box to keep it clean & safe.  It is a bit photo heavy though, but I thought you might like to see the full thing.    Give me lace and flowers any day.   Meantime it is my first Grandchilds 28th Birthday on Thursday.  and I cannot believe where the years have gone.  He is 6' 3 or maybe taller and a lovely young man, so I finished his card to-day as well.  I'm having a day off to-morrow and going to the hairdresser and perhaps do a little 'me' shopping if the weather is good.   Thank you all so much for the lovely comments you leave on my blog and I truly appreciate every one of them.    Hugs Rita xxxx

It's a fantastic card, Rita - so brilliant to have a piece of handmade art created so particularly and specifically with all those personal elements - this will be treasured, no doubt about it.

I for one would never believe you'd a grandson of 28 - but I'll take your word for it and send him birthday greetings!

Oh! My! Word! Rita.........that's not just a card it's a "work of art"
You are a very brave lady making that for an order. Oh! I would have had sleepless nights worrying about creating such a wonderful card. I would have worried about it all not going just right. A fantastic job done, clever you.
Your card will be treasured by the lucky couple.
Happy birthday to your grandson time does "fly" when you see how quickly they grow up.
Enjoy your day and some "me" time
Hugs

Such a gorgeous card Rita. It will be treasured forever. A couple of years ago I was asked to make a first anniversary card for a couple who spent their first night together near Tower Bridge so that had to figure highly. Mind you , I do think Tower Bridge is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many iconic images you can include in this type of card. I love it. Hugs Christine xx

They do take a lot of card and paper but they really are so much fun to make. Hope your lovely grandson has a good birthday. Hugs, Anne x

Wow, stunning card. Although it's more than that isn't it......a treasured keepsake for the happy couple. How lovely to have a personalised gift such as this. It must have taken a long time to complete - there is a lot of work in it and I'm sure you are very pleased with how it turned out, well done.
Enjoy your 'me' time.
