Enjoy the Journey

Good Evening Friends and Fellow Bloggers.   I was thrilled to bits with all the great comments left on my Faux Leather Book post.  I have since made more, but don't want to bore you with something that you are likely to see more of in lots of blogs far and wide.  Great fun to make.
It was my first Grandson's birthday on Thursday and this was the card that I made.  I have always said if  I win the lottery I will buy you a car Garry.  Needless to say  l have never won anything,  so his card was giving him a choice of  Tim Holtz cars, along with an old car key .  My background was distressed with a cogs and gears mask from Prima, and I fussy cut round the centre to insert a map of Scotland.  A few embellishments finish of his card,  and as he and his girlfriend are in London with his Mum & Dad  he phoned and said he loved his card.   Carolyn, Hamish and Molly are coming next week and have asked if they could make some notebooks, so they went off to Hobbycraft in Edinburgh to get what they need.  Molly likes to buy her own things so she can play in her craft room, yes, she is only 11 years old.   Budding Blogger I think.
So I may not get time to post next week ,but at least you know what I will be up to.   Take Care Everyone.     Hugs Rita xxxx.

I have to say I really love this! I have a grandson turning 16 on the 20th of this month and that sort of idea for a card would work so well for him. He is leaving to drive now and will be getting his license soon. Thanks for a wonderful idea!

Gorgeous card for your grandson, food for thought as I find it difficult to do male cards. Don't know why but I suppose I like the frilly cards better. I also adored your leather book was fab too.
