My Faux Leather Notebook.

Hello Again, my dear Friends and Followers.   I really must thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post.  I did enjoy my day out on Wednesday and after getting my hair done I did a bit of shopping.  We don't have any crafty shops near to us, so that ruled that out straight away.  Andrew's knee op has been postponed for a month because his blood pressure is too high, a bit of a downer for him.  But I'm sure they will get it sorted out.
Last night I had a bit of a play and tried out the Faux Leather tutorial by Sheen Douglas.  It was such fun to do and apart from the drying it did not take long this morning to finish it.  I lined the back with a piece of fabric and after hand-stitching my pages I finished of my lovely little notebook,   I'm sure you would all enjoy giving this technique a try and Sheena's folders are so amazing.   I have now done a second one and waiting for it to dry.   Hope you are All staying safe and my heart goes out to anyone stranded in the terrible floods down south.    Better move and get the dinner sorted out.  Time certainly flies when having fun.      Hugs Rita xxxxx

Beautiful work Rita, sorry about the wait for the op, it is very frustrating for both of you. I am going to have to get this embossing folder, I have the link to the tutorial in my email account so will go look at it in a moment, but I just love what you have created and I am hoping this EF is 5x7" and not A4 xx

It looks great! ( I'll hop over to the tutorial after this) I find the combination of making a cover and notebook perfect, maybe because I used to do a lot of needlepoint work... Have a good day, inky greetings, Gerrina

Really thought I had left a comment on this Rita, although sometimes I think when doing it on the IPad I am too quick leaving the page so maybe it doesn't connect properly. But I love this notebook and the technique, so clever, in fact I have bought the glycerin to have a go. TFS xx
