Christmas Card Club. Challenge 6

Hello my friends and followers in Blogland.  I have been resting this week as I felt I had no energy and what I did have was used to cook the meals etc.   I nearly forgot that this was Challenge 6 for the CCC and our hostess this month is Christine.  She has chosen Wings so anything that has wings would do( Angels, Fairies or Birds).  I had no Angels or Fairies in a Christmas theme,  so I have chosen the Christmas Cardinal stamp from JustRite.  I stamped it in Archival Sepia and coloured it with Pebeo watercolour paints.  My card has been matted with a lovely gold and I used the 5 x7 Elegant Labels 4 die in a pale ivory before adding my image that I cut with my craft knife.  The image and the die are raised ,but sorry to say its not showing up.  Nearly missed the deadline with this card.  Phew, I made it.   Jan my long time friend got home on Friday, but has to go back to hospital on Monday for a check up.  She was quite overcome when I showed her your kind messages, so she said to thank you all for that.
Hope you All continue to Enjoy your Weekend.   Hugs Rita xxxx

Such vibrant Christmas colour tones Rita and how elegant does he look sitting in the middle of the die. Great matting and layering. So glad Jan is home.

Not been around either because of hospital visits with a friend, then had a workshop to do, so last week was just manic. Have had a mooch at what I have missed and so amazed at the intricacy of the designs on your cards.

Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x

What a beautiful card Rita. The image is fabulous. I am a great fan of JustRite and have looked longingly at this stamp, but I have bought so many recently I'll have to draw in the reins a bit. Your card fits the theme perfectly. Hugs Christine xx

Good morning Rita
Nice and sunny here hope it is the same with you.
Love, love, love, this beautiful card, everything is stunning
The colouring of your Cardinal is brilliant
Glad Jan is home, pity she has to go back to Hospital so soon. A week of rest in her own home would help the healing. Keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.
Hope Andrew has a good week
Look after yourself
Hugs

Wow Rita, what an absolutely gorgeous card, that die in the background is one of the nicest I have ever seen and looks beautiful with the wonderfully coloured cardinal on top. I always think that the beginning of Spring makes us feel a little tired, I hope that relaxing did you some good and that you are feeling less tired this week. Great news about Jan too, hope her good progress continues. Have a good week my friend. Big hugs, Anne xx

Rita, you KNOW I'm in love with this card! I recognized the JR cardinal the moment I saw it (would you believe it's a NBUS for me?!). You've colored this beauty so wonderfully well - he is just magnificent, and no way could I do that with w/colors. Stunning. Love the treatment you gave him as his gorgeous background. This has to be my favorite of all the cards you've done! (well, I'm slightly prejudiced with cardinals in case you didn't know that!). So happy & thankful that Jan is home, steadily improving. Wish all things to go well at her checkup. You rest and do what needs must be done to continue her support. TFS & Hugs.

Wow, Rita - that is just lovely! The cream filigree over the sage green is gorgeous, and the cardinal gives a magnificent pop of vivid red at the heart of it - a real treat. So glad to hear Jan is home already. Fingers firmly crossed for the check up...
