LIM Challenge 15. Embossing.

Good Afternoon Limettes. Just finished my second card after making a right mess of the first one, finished the card ok, and then put the sentiment on upside down. So here is another card. Tried to used dry embossing and heat embossing ,but not sure it worked. Single layer cards I find hard, as I like to add gems etc, but I sat on my hands to-day and not added a thing. Hugs Rita xx
All your comments are so much appreciated. Thank-You.
What not to do, put your sentiment on upside down. Smile Rita xx

Rita, you did make me laugh about putting your sentiment of upside down... it's so easily done I must say! This is a lovely image with a very fitting frame!
Thanks so much for being such a loyal LIMette!

A beautiful elegant card Rita. (hope you didn't throw away your other card - I'd cut out the image and use it as a topper on another card.)xx

Two very nice cards and I had to laugh about your upside down sentimwent - maybe you could send it someone in Australia LOL!! That sort of thing is so easy to do with one layer cards and you can't stick anything over to hide it can you??

Two lovely cards and I had to laugh at your sentiment as I have done that myself at some point.

I've done that before! My best one is completing a card only to that it opens the wrong way round!!

I love the pink dress and the pretty frame - very elegant!

Very elegant card, how often do we work on a card get it perfect to 'spoil' it at the final step! You just have to laugh, thank you for sharing. XOXO Zoe

I had similar slip ups today Rita - both cards are fab. Just stamp your sentiment again and layer it over the upside down one to rescue the card for something else.

Oh Rita that made me chuckle, easy done eh!

I think we've all stamped an upside down sentiment at some point Rita, I hope you can rescue the card because it's lovely. I find these one layer cards tricky to do too, but yours is a beautiful card, very elegant. Jo x

I like the embossing frame you have used. I hope you can rescue the second card-such a shame after all that work.

I made a mess of mine too - but I haven't got round to making another yet! Yours are both lovely but it IS a pity about the upside down sentiment. Do you know anyone in Australia? Hazel x Have just seen Kathy's comment above and I hadn't even read it when I typed mine.

Oops Rita! Thats the type of thing that I do!

Love that dress!

Very pretty card, the dress looks lovely in that elegant embossed frame! What a shame about your first card, it's so annoying when something like that happens! At least you were able to see the funny side and share it with us - and we've all experienced it so we'll all feel your pain LOL!

Hi there Rita, I laughed out loud at your sentiment faux pas, The times I've done that, hilarious:0) Gorgeous dress in your first card, such a pretty card:0) xcxx

Beautiful dress card! The upside down greeting made me smile - so easy to put right if you aren't doing a single layer card! Love the colours and sparkle on your dress - it looks very expensive!

Helen said...

Both very elegant and the frames work really well - glad to see it's not just me who stamps things upside down sometimes!!

Ahhh Rita, how annoying. It was so beautiful too (it's the sort of thing I would do). Your second card is beautiful as well. I love the dress. Sue.x

Both cards are beautiful, even if the sentiment is upside down.. ;)

Ciara said...

I imagine we've all done that at some point! And it's even more annoying when it's the last part of the card too.

Love that pink dress, it has such a soft feel to it. Very pretty :-)

You know, if you hadn't stamped your sentiment upside down you wouldn't have made that stunning second card! First one is really nice too and it can be salvaged by stamping the sentiment again on card, cutting out and placing over the original sentiment. Wouldn't be single layer any more but would also mean the card doesn't go to waste! Thanks for popping by already.

Hugs
Brenda
