Happy Motoring

Hello Everyone,  I hope you are all enjoying some crafting time on this lovely Easter Saturday.  I needed a card for my brother-in-law who will be 87 on Wednesday and is partially blind, so I thought he might like something tactile so that he could feel some of the elements on his card. When he was younger he loved driving and had a great interest in cars, so I have set my theme on that.  I made a double diamond card base and distressed the edges with Vintage photo and added some blue check paper and plain blue card  The main part of the card is a SB Fleur di-Lis die that I have used on lots of cards. The picture I think was from Craftsuprint and I resized it and decoupaged it. The little wooden car and nuts & bolts are from Craft-emblies and I added a nice verse to the back.  I don't think I will manage back till next week-end somehow, but you never know.   Happy Easter to Everyone and Thanks again for looking and commenting on my cards.   Hugs Rita xxx

Hello Rita
I have been absent from commenting but here I am and what a card.
Such a thoughtful idea to create a card with texture and dimension and I have to say you sourced the most perfect embellishments.
A very, very special card.

Absolutely brilliant, a fantastic tactile card. Your Brother-in-Law will really enjoy that with the nuts, bolts and bits to feel and touch.
So many folds and creases I would have lost the plot on that I am sure.
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend

Rita, this card is really brilliant! I love the vintage car image and the shape of the card is beautiful. I've never seen it and would like to create the same one day!
As a matter of fact, my husband is a vintage car lover and has just sold his MG TA 1936 and bought a Morris Cowley Bullnose 1925 instead. He is happy like a child with it!
I am sure your brother in law will appreciate the card!
Have a nice Easter time,
Lia
