I Love Paris....

Hello my dear blogging friends.  Here we are, another week-end looming.  I hope you have all found some crafty time amongst your other daily routines.   I was asked to make another 8 X 8 card in a bag. The theme for this one was Paris and it was a 30th Birthday. So what nicer way to spend your birthday than by having a holiday in the romantic city itself.
This card is an Easel one, and I used the G45 French Country paper as my background, before stamping and layering it.  I used the Tim Holtz alphabet squares to Bring in the name ' PARIS '  and the stamps again were TH, matted on gold card.  The large Eiffel tower is a Sizzix die and I added some gilding flakes to bring out the colours. With the addition of some embellishments my card was complete.  Just got the bag to do now.  Got a few more orders yesterday, so it looks as if I will be busy for a while.
Was at A & E with Andrew yesterday and he had a few X-Rays taken. So he has lots of torn muscles and swelling etc, but nothing broken. So he is getting a some visits from a physio and hopefully he will get his confidence back again.  So those of you with stairs. Please be Careful.     Hugs Rita xxxxxx

Totally adore your Paris easel Rita, and so glad to hear that Andrew is basically alright, - it must have been such a worry!
Have a wonderful weekend! Here the weather has gone all cold and rainy....

Hellp Rita, pleased to hear that Andrew has no lasting damage, such an awful thing to happen, I hate stairs, you have to be so careful. Hope the physio helps.

Your card is gorgeous, so many elements to it, just wonderful, I'm sure it will be loved by who receives it, hugs Kate x

Good evening Rita,
Firstly a few ((((hugs)))) for both of you. So glad Andrew has no broken bones, and getting some physio. Such a horrible thing to happen when you were away.

Your card is brilliant, a great keepsake.
Have a wonderful weekend

What a pretty card Rita. I love anything with the Eiffel Tower on it. I was to France in 1999 but only to Paris Airport and then onto south France area. So I love seeing cards done up French style.

Hi Rita,
superb card. Great images and embellies . Wonderful design too.
I take it the young lady in question is off to Paris.
Now this is very funny as my youngest son and his wife are there this weekend celebrating their anniversary.
Got my computer back in my craft room again, as the cable has now been layed in the loft. Much more comfortable now as the dinning room chairs are not as comfortable as my office chair in my workshop. My leg kept going to sleep and I would have to get up and walk around to stop it.
So glad your hubby hasn't broken anything, but it still sounds very painful. Luckily I live in a bungalow so no stairs to worry about, because I do loose my balance quite easily now.
Have a wonderful crafty evening.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Fabulous card Rita sorry to read about Andrew and thankfully no broken bones but still very painful, I can't go up stairs to our room when my leg is bad as I am scared of falling.

Take care,

A late visit from me dear Rita.
One of my all time favourite themes - this is wonderful with all that amazing detail and then to open and see more attention to detail inside.
Wishing Andrew a speedy recovery from his fall.

A beautiful card Rita (my, you are keeping yourself busy with orders!) Just thinking perhaps a slide would be a great addition to the house? You could both whizz down to breakfast in the mornings and the grandkids would be kept entertained for hours!! Hugs, Jenny x
