Hello everyone on this miserable Sunday afternoon. Its been raining all day and very dismal and dark.
We went to Edinburgh yesterday with Anne and Ronnie to give some moral support to Carolyn our younger daughter who was doing her first ever craft fair. The Craft Fair had a lovely atmosphere, but the day itself was not busy and not a lot of sales. She did so much work to produce beautiful Cushions, Washbags and Tea-Cosy's, Hamish and Molly did Handbag charms and Jewellery, luckily they sold a few of those.
There were seemingly three craft fairs on in the area on the same day, and this may be the reason it was quiet. It was a long day for us as we traveled from West coast to East coast. At night we went to the theatre where Hamish was playing his first lead part as Peter Pan and it was a superb show and a lovely ending to the day. We got home very late last night and I think we are all resting up to-day. Here are a few pictures of Carolyn's table and Molly complete with her Santa hat. Hopefully now I will get back into my stride again ,or maybe not ........ Hugs Rita xxxx

such a shame about the turn out, all her makes are beautiful,Annette x
Oh wow what beautiful things Rita shame about the turn out. Hope your keeping well its so cold here lol huggles Sue xxxxx
So sorry it wasn't a bigger turn out. It's hard when so much love has gone into making things people just don't realize. I gave up doing fairs a long time ago because of this.
They all look fabulous. Glad you had a good day xx Jan
Oh my goodness, Carolyn must have worked very hard to produce all those wonderful things? How disappointing that it was not busier and a real shame that there were other events on, on the same day. That really was a long day for you but glad you got to see Hamish in his play and that you really enjoyed it. Hope you have been resting up today! Hugs, Anne x
Sorry she didn't sell more of her wonderful things, but glad you had a good evening at the play. Hugs, Valerie
There were some marvelous items shown in your pictures, and I can see that a lot of hard work went into the creation of such beautiful things. At least you were there for moral support & got to enjoy a pleasant evening at a play. It's a shame that other events took customers away too. Perhaps there will be another fair later, and people can buy some of these handmade crafts later on. Hope so. TFS & Hugs. Enjoy your rest day.
Such a shame it was so quiet Rita, Carolyn's stall looks fabulous......and hasn't Molly grown! Carol x
So sorry the craft fair was not busy, this is why we don't do really any now as it's a long day with very little reward. Patricia and I wish people would get together and make sure they don't hold their fairs on the same day. Carolyn would be better holding an open afternoon in her home and inviting friends and them bring a friend, she would likely sell more that way, we have. Hazel xxx
That is so sad that the fair wasn't busy. People don't realize that they are getting wonderful products made by hand and with love. I don't do fairs for that reason and I've learned who to give my hand made things to as gifts because some people think you can find the same thing in a department store. It's so wonderful that you travelled so far to support your daughter. You're a great mom!
Carolyn's productivity is astonishing, a beautiful array of handmade items so it is such a pity to read that the fair was so quiet.
I am sure she appreciated your support and also Annie and Ronnie being there as well.
Wishes
Lynne
What a shame they had such a quiet day after all that hard work creating such beautiful things. Lovely that you had a family day of it though, and congrats to Hamish on his Peter Pan!

wow - sounds like a busy day Rita - sorry the craft fair wasn't too successful - its so hard when you spend so long working on stuff and then have very few sales....Peter Pan sounded cool - what a wonderful part to play - my girls favourite story is Peter pan - they absolutely adore it xx
What fabulous photos of all the wonderful goods produced for our daughters stall and lovingly laid out. Such a shame it wasn't as busy as hoped, but glad you got to see Hamish in Peter Pan, what a great experience for him.

Looks great! What a lot! I hear it overhere also; people don´t visit the fairs with so many anymore... Greetings, Gerrina
Hello Rita, what a wonderful array of makes your Grandaughter has, and what a pity the turnout was poor. Such a lot of hard work too.
What a talented family, crafters and actors, glad you enjoyed the play, take care, hugs Kate x
Sorry to be so late. Sorry the event was a little slow. It's always hard to work so hard and sell so little. It looks like there was a good bit to sell so I'm hopeful for next time!
Such a shame it was so quiet after all that hard work. The things Caroline made look so beautiful, maybe she can keep them for another year??? Glad to hear though that the play was such a success! I think he is a talented boy!!
Gorgeous display of handmade wonders... sorry things were a little slow on the day...you all are so talented... Glad to hear that the play was wonderful....Hugs May x x x
Hi Mammy.........It was a fab day and great to get together. Carolyn and the kids worked really hard but I am sure that they will manage to sell their wares or give them as gifts.
Hamish was so fabulous in the play and its great we got to go and support him.

Carolyn's stall looks fantastic Rita. I'm sure if she keeps at it and attends a few more her gorgeous wares will be snapped up. So lovely that you all work so hard to support each other. Huge hugs, Jenny x
Her display is wonderful! How frustrating there were so many events at once.
