Hello Everyone. I really meant to schedule this post last night as we had a busy day with 3 hospital appointments today. It has been a very long day too, so I'm off to bed early in the hope I have a good night's sleep.
This was a card I made for another crafty friend that does not blog. The backing paper was a free one from my lovely friend Astrid, and she always gives me such great inspiration. I covered a piece of grunge board with hessian and used distress stain to add some festive colours, before adding the image. I have no idea the make of the Christmas language stamp as it is very old. I ran it through the crackle embossing folder before ageing it a little with Vintage Photo. Hope you are all safe from the terrible stormy weather that's doing its rounds right now. Take Care. Hugs Rita xxxx

It's absolutely beautiful Rita and I am so glad you could use one of my papers! Greata layering of the other elements. A perfect vintage card, just lovely.
Hope the hospital appointments went well, weather is pretty grim here right now, hopefully it will cheer up a bit in the next few days.
Big crafty hugs and have a great Christmas
Astrid

This is a marvelous card with your lovely image atop that burlap - made such a nice layout for your card. I love the old Christmas Carols, and I like to hear them sung as they were when I was a child. Seems too many groups want to jazz them up, put their own signature upon it. I don't appreciate that at all! This one happens to be a favorite & most appropriate in our world today, I think. Hope the bad weather has left your area. We are enjoying some lovely mid 70-mid 80 sunshiney days. Very welcome to us indeed. TFS & Merry Christmas
Hello Rita - I'm sorry to hear you had such a stressful day yesterday. I do hope you've been able to have a more restful time today, and are taking good care of yourselves in the run up to Christmas. Sorry I've fallen so far behind... but I'm looking forward to some catching up now!
I absolutely love this creation - the music and that wonderful text stamp are right up my street. A really great card!
