Hello My Fellow Bloggers. Hopefully things are less hectic for you by now. Its so hard to imagine that a week today will be Christmas Day.. I still have a few Money wallets to make and my Baking too, but that will be done on Sunday. My card today I made for my dear friend Jan and she got her scan results back yesterday and the cancer has not spread to any other organs, and has shrunk enough to let her get the operation in mid-January to remove the tumour. So for her she can now celebrate Christmas with her husband and family. I'm so happy to share this good news with you.
The card is another 8 X 8 and matted with a Craftwork Cards backing paper. The stamp I have had a good few years now and was from Imagination. Added my Bow and sentiment and I love this card. Very simple ,but it does it for me. Hugs Rita xxxxx

It's a gorgeous card, Rita, and that is really good new about your friend, Jan - a lovely Christmas present for her. I am still trying to get stuff done but, after the month I've just had, I'm not stressing about it, if it gets done that's fine but if it doesn't, well, that's fine too. There's always next year. such good news for your Friend Rita - I saw your qestion re empire biscjuits - my Mam used to make these when I was little - Makes: 48 biscuits
450g butter, softened, 200g caster sugar, 500g plain flour, sifted, 340g raspberry jam, 24 glace cherries, halved, 950g icing sugar, 125ml milk,
Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line baking trays with baking parchment.
Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy and light. Gradually stir in the flour until well blended. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 5mm thickness. Cut into circles using a pastry/cookie cutter.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow biscuits to cool on baking trays for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Sandwich one teaspoon of jam between two biscuits. Repeat with remaining biscuits.
In a medium bowl, mix together icing sugar and milk to form a spreadable icing. Spread on top of the biscuit sandwiches. Top each biscuit with half a cherry whilst the icing is still wet. have a nice Christmas, Mary x

Hi Rita. Good to read such joyful news about your friend's good results. It's always so heartening to read this kind of thing, as all of us have to deal with this problem at one time or another. Thanks for sharing it with us, so we can rejoice with ya'll. Your card looks anything but simple...unless you were to say "simply elegant', or 'simply beautiful'. Loved the music background and the sparkling festive reds. TFS & Merry Christmas.
So glad to hear Jan's good news - thank you for sharing the glad tidings! More music and more script - another real delight. I love the neutrals with those pops of red!
